  1. Wow, this play was doomed before the rb even got the ball
  2. Get used to it. The line hasn't been great this year, but it looked better when Decker was in. And who knows if the best players are even playing. Cav has no idea what he's doing. He's prob one of the worst coaches on this staff, and that's saying a lot, because there are a lot of bad ones to choose from.
  3. It doesn't take rocket appliances to figure out that this coaching staff has no idea what they are doing.
  4. There are probably many coaches that could, but much like Frost, there is no evidence that it would be or close to a "sure thing."
  5. You won't have to worry about winning out. It's not happening.
  6. Maybe not hire a coach that has been or about to be fired this time? Maybe not hire a coach because he is the opposite of his predecessor, and will be easy to work with? Maybe not hire a coach to "fix the defense"? I don't know. It sounds crazy, but how about hiring the best available? Can we maybe try that?
  7. Ohio St's d-line is going to make our o-line look really silly. Specifically our tackles. It's going to be a rough night.
  8. I picked 2-4 for a 5-7 season. I see the Huskers losing to Ohio St and Penn St, winning one of their remaining home games, and winning one of their remaining away games.
  9. The line did do better in pass protection, but Lee also suddenly gained pocket presence I haven't seen all year long.
  10. The o-line is playing better, but it's not because Cav decided to make changes. It's because he had no choice. The guy is clueless and should have been gone with Reed and Banker. 100% agree.
  11. You're right. He won't be fired this year. He will retire. I mean, "retire".
  12. Yes. I have changed my red Huskers shirt to a black one. Since then, two wins. I do think a b******* would be cool to see, but it's not going to happen stadium wide unless the school supplies shirts and gets behind it. I know it's not the same, but did the school advertise "No Stand Sunday" for Nebrasketball? I was not there, but that crowd was amped up all game. It was pretty awesome to see, and I could feel the energy watching it on TV.
  13. Conrad isn't undersized, but he uses poor leverage, and it appears Decker communicates with the line better. I also want to see if Decker does better than Conrad against a NT.
  14. I do think one of the other two are better than Lee. They would almost have to try to perform worse than Lee. I am just going off Langsdorf and him saying there was a "large gap." That, and if one of them was indeed better, why wouldn't you play one of them?
  15. Yes, much like Riley has Nebraska heading in the right direction.
  16. Don't keep anyone. Let the coach pick his staff.
  17. It's pretty depressing that Lee is doing this horrible, but none of the backups are any better. As stated above, this leads to two conclusions: 1) Langsdorf is a bad QB coach, and/or 2) Langsdorf does not know how to put his players in position to be effective.
  18. Reading defenses, making smart decisions, pocket presence, throwing accurately, and taking care of the football (pretty much being a QB) still a challenge for Tanner Lee.
  19. What play do you call when one or two defenders get into the backfield nearly untouched pretty much right after the ball is snapped?
  20. The o-line was awful. They made the Northern Illinois d-line look like a bunch of five star athletes. Cav is not a good coach, so don't expect it to get any better. He's also stubborn and doesn't want to make changes to *his* lineup. Remember when there was talk of Boe Wilson burning his redshirt? Is he still on the team? Did he get worse or something? There are obviously communication problems, which falls on the center. The same center that actually did a pretty good job at right tackle. Maybe moving Conrad to RT and letting Decker play wouldn't be the worst thing? Also, I'm still not sure why Gates is playing left tackle. He's not a tackle. I just shudder thinking about this line going against Penn St, Ohio St, and Wisconsin. Yikes
  21. I assumed Northern Illinois was a chance to get things back on track, so no.
  22. The third week of Riley's third year. His first year was horrible, his second year ended horrible, and his third year is starting horrible. Do you see a trend?
