Hey we determined husker-fans are desperate enough to fill their stadium to watch a freaking scrimmage. I can say that, I was one of those desperate souls. It was nice to see husker-nation re-uniting. The game was a nice recruiting-tool. But ya we still don't know what we still don't know what kind of team we have.

If the doors are there they should be thrown-open violently by the team rushing through. But I don't really care if they are there or not. As long as the entrance is dramatic I'm fine with it. I just want to see an end to the tradition where the opposing team marches down the field and scores on us.

I just find a good amount of what counts as metal now to be convoluted, leaning towards noisy musical-masturbation. I love Angus's guitar-work, what you find simple I love. Unfortunately AC/DC's lyrics tend to run too simple. Ya the Disturbed guy does his animal-noise schtick too much but I can bob my head to their stuff like I can older stuff. I'm just not a majorly heavy guy. I'm sure you guys know more about metal than me. But stuff along the lines of older Metallica or Pantera is about as hardcore as I can get into. Call me soft but I need a sense of musicality/melody and singing. Granted I'm likely older than you(I'm 39). I think music in-general has gone down-hill. Don't get me started on the crap found on Hot 106.9.

Va Tech is a solid program, but a little overrated. The ACC is not that good. Making it into the top25 wins that con. Hell we beat one of their better teams, WF, in their own crib with a team that totally underachieved. Foster will have their D quality as usual and their ST's will be ready to make gamechanging plays. But their O will be meh. The Va Tech game will be very tough but in Lincoln it is winnable. Our D was unmotivated, overweight, poorly coordinated, and without proper position-coaching. There was a lot of very fixable stuff that went into them sucking. We have respectable talent. I'm not saying we recover completely in one season. We won't have a top-D. But we'll have a decent D that improves over the season, gang-tackles, and looks to make plays/turnovers. With the D we'll have we'd have won three more games in '07, and that is what I predict for this season, 8-4. The O won't slip, it probably won't put up points like in the last three games but won't have the dip we had at midseason either. Ganz will give us the best qb-play we've had in a while. We moved the ball well with him, ya his arm is mediocre but at-least as good as Taylor's. Ganz has better feet, giving us more on scrambles/read-options and he knows the system well. We obviously lost some at receiver but we have quality rb's and the line will be more physical, allowing us to ground it out more. Working fundamentals and practicing physically consistently will help. BC's pro-type practice-habits just didn't work for the college-level. I can accept 7-5 but anything worse would require considerable extentuating circumstances for me to be satisfied about our progress. I can understand why the espn guys may see us really struggling in '08. We may be homers. But we are also the ones that follow this team. We know just how much screwy, crap-coaching went on last season. We also have followed recruiting enough to know this team didn't suddenly run out of talent. This team can win in '08. I'm not talking a Cinderella-season, but we should win the majority of our games.

Granted I'm not hardcore "more metal than thou" type but I like Disturbed. Their stuff has a nice groove to it(same reason I love Rob Zombie) and the guy actually sings. Sorry but I think that stuff where the guy thinks sounding like Cookie Monster is badass is just crap. Heavy becomes noise without actual singing. I'd much rather hear some old Judas Priest. I don't care how gay Halford is, dude was awesome. Maybe I'm just getting old.

If Ferentz has yet-another meh year anything could happen. Ferentz needs to win this year, if he doesn't he could be gone and recruits will be looking around.

I can handle summer, it is winter I can't stand. Football is done and the weather sucks.

We have plenty coming-back on O. Ganz move the ball like a muther when he finally got his chance. Lucky, Castille, and Helu are a hell of a trio. The line is talented and fairly experienced. We just need a couple of the younger receivers to step-up in the playmaking dept. The D will be unproven of-course. It can only be better considering how bad we were last year. It will be motivated and Bo is a proven DC. I don't think it will be killer but should be decent anyway with much improved aggressiveness, gang-tackling, and turnover-forcing. With a quality O and respectable D(not great, respectable) I see us at 8-4.

If Castille can handle the blocking responsibilities it would be nice to get him on the field more.

Do not blaspheme Angus. Speaking of old ECW music, I'd throw RVD's old joint "Walk" by Pantera up for nomination.

Ridiculous that we are getting even more bottom-tier bowls but they won't give the fans so much as a plus-one format to name a national champ.

FSU is really cleaning-up this year. They are in-love with Jimbo. Personally, I don't get it. Ya he has "it" factor, can recruit, and brings more discipline than Bobby. But he is nothing-special as an OC, LSU improved without him. I wouldn't say he is a sure-thing. Maybe he will bring them back to the promised-land, the elite recruits will definitely help in that, but maybe he won't. Probably depends on his staffing.

Nice job BC Sad to think how much better we'd been with quality coaching.

Wish we had Brown coaching all receivers, might help us get over the dropsies. Swift is a solid talent, not a breakaway guy but solid. Peterson? Gives you a height mismatch but not a lot else. We need a couple of the younger guys to give us the big-play threat. Curenski gives us speed and has the build to throw some serious blocks, but he needs to catch the ball consistently. Out of the younger wr's it was him we heard the most about in Spring. Out of the others it is hard to say who will step-up, I'll guess Paul.

I can see us offering as an athlete. Maybe he stays at qb. Maybe he moves to another position, it would depend on his build some, how much quality weight he can add-on and move-with. I'd imagine the coaches would like to get him into camp this summer and get a better for his abilities/potential.

Dang, RR pretty-much has his qb-recruiting done. All he has to do is hold-on now. Mich is going to struggle this year but will be loaded in a couple seasons.

Why don't these kids get it? Pornstache sucked at Chicago and Miami. He hasn't had one winning-season in three at Pitt. But they are still headed to big things? That is just not proper thought-process. They are paying too much attention to that one win over WV, hell that would have been a loss with a healthy Pat White. Besides the D that won them that game and has kept them competitive lost their DC to Auburn. They are now without their best coach. Pedey's boy is just not a good HC, his multiple chances have proven that. Look at the facts and not the recruiting spiel, you'll be better for it. Whether Neb is in the picture or not going with Wanny is not a good idea. .

I think KU will be as good as last year, they just won't have the easy sched to pad their record. In Lincoln with an improved D we can beat them but it will be tough. I'd call it 50-50 right now.

Bud Foster has Va Tech's D ready to roll every year. They'll be tough again in '08, bet on it. As usual Beamer will have good special teams that could turn the game at any moment. I think we'll be in for a fight. Folks shouldn't underestimate KU. They did beat VT and despite a trainwreck first-half still almost beat Mizzou. The loss of their DC and two defensive studs hurts. But that D still returns most starters. Their O will be nasty, they landed the #1 JUCO to replace McAnderson as powerback. They will be down a bit at wr but still have Reesing and an experienced O-line. This will be another battle. Cy does have a point, even if it is a bit tongue-in-cheek. ISU is a classic trap-game. ISU showed the ability to battle last year. We should win but we can't take this one for granted by any means.

I figured he'd get drafted late, kinda sucks for him. He'd have been better-off staying at ASU, he'd have gotten the job back from Carpenter fairly early in the season.

Shows how crappy our coaching was that a talent like Octavien ended-up getting not drafted. After his awesome pro-day numbers I figured somebody would use a late pick on Woodhead. Hope he can catch-on with the Jets.

Should have at-least one per class. Guys get hurt. Guys bustand/or transfer-out. What if you don't get a qb next class? Team needs depth, even if the guy is a back-up for four years you never know when he could be needed. If you don't get a qb in the class it may not matter, but it could and coaches won't risk it. Times are over when we could throw a Turman behind center and beat somebody worth a dang. If you have a glut of youngsters I can maybe see skipping but we only had one last-class. What if Spano doesn't work-out and take nobody this year? Then you have a big gap that can leave you with a qb that isn't very good or is too green. We don't want to have to put a Jammal Lord in again. I think Solich would probably still be here with better qb-recruiting. Having a safety at qb hurt us badly. According to scout.com Thomas is talking to ATM, LSU, Houston, and L'ville but no offers yet. Neb wasn't listed. I guess we'll see what happens.

I don't see this guy decommiting, barring unforeseen circumstances. Seems like Pelini's kind of kid. Good to see that last weekend has bore some fruit and got us a commit. From what I understand the others were pretty impressed as-well. But we were the only good offer he had at this point. We still gotta show we can woo guys that have the "name" schools going after them. Hopefully we can do that now, but it may not happen til we start winning games again. I would hope it happens then anyway.
