    Ex-wife makes 100K a year. I make 30-31K a year w/ a $525 truck payment and a $800 mortgage payment. I have to pay $325 for child support and $125 for daycare. Whos getting screwed here?

      Got the truck when the ex and I were still married and before the kid was conceived. Its currently up for sale on Craigslist.

      I think there are two arguments here. The one about who makes more and the one about how both parents should have to pay an equal amount.

       

      But... the problem I have with child support is that whoever has custody gets to spend it however they want. And they're not going to want to say "you're getting this because of dad." So instead of letting the dad give things to the kid and them knowing who it's from, it always looks like it's coming from the mom.
