    13 years ago I cold-called a guy at 9pm at night, at his home, trying to get him to glom his site, Bomis.com, on to my Silicon Valley startup's business partnership. I talked to him for 15 minutes or so, and he was polite, but declined. That man was Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia.
