    Why doesn't Superman's cape snap back and forth like a flag in high wind when he's going supersonic? It's always straight out behind him.

      He doesn't like a breeze in his face, so he always flies the same direction and speed as the wind. Then he goes just a little faster so that his cape just trails out behind him.
