  1. Yeah, that all depends on how the weight is carried. He looked to have the frame to add some weight without lose athleticism. And, Thanks Mav
  2. If they load it up and keep bringing people off of the edge, would be a good time to use the diamond formation and hit the edge with a lead blocker. Attention to detail will be a significant factor in this game and they usually have a very disciplined unit. I just hope we do to, from the top down.
  3. Man, people need to lay off of Tai. Yes he didn't respond well to adversity and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool, but I think he will be fine. Why? Because he definitely showed flashes of being a really good player on D and on O we just didn't have the depth to be able to bring him out all of the time for a teaching moment. That's when Miles realized that Benny's Defensive prowess out weighed the flashes of being good by Tai. There are LOTS of players who go through the same type of struggles as he did last year. I will definitely wait until after this season to say he is not going to get any better, which I don't think will happen.
  4. Against McNeese St. Our Oline was the problem and it was more because of the scheme and unwillingness to change to pick everyone up. It will be interesting for sure. I worry more about Cross in bad weather than Ameer. AA is very disciplined this year even more so than last year. Cross is much much better than last year as well, but he fail to cover up the ball ALOT and I am surprised he hasn't fumbled more. I think we will get our yards on the ground against them, and we will have to pass well also. But, I agree It will be up to the Defense to win this game. We have to be disciplined and quick to getting that first step to be able to stop them.
  5. They're saying Smith is planning to play after Christmas. Well here's to hoping he is in shape to play!! We will need him in B1G play.
  6. Probably means that Smith isn't likely to return early and he is the next best in line. If I had to guess anyway
  7. I just hope they play us defensively like we play against Wisky in the CCG. I know they wont but that would be fun!!!!!
  8. In that situation it's only a matter of time before he picks off another pass. Now he may not run it back for a TD, but regardless it's nice to have the ability to do that. He's dangerous from either the line or from the LB spot. I think the sloppy conditions may help our LB's some if it's as bad as it sounds like it's going to be. Banderas isn't a world beater to the sideline, but if they run straight at us I think he'll do better....................I hope............ Well just with his size and athleticism in the middle will make it really hard for a QB to see around him for one and if they hit on a pop pass If Gregory makes contact all I can say is goodnight. I would not want to be that dude.
  9. It is a must that the RB's secure the ball with their second arm sooner than they do.
  10. I think it depends on how bad they a killing us with the slants and short passes. I really like in that situation dropping Randy back in the backer spot.
  11. Yeah considering you would never want to give the corner to a speedy runner you would always make them run in the inside no matter who is the RB. The exception might be short yardage situations.
  12. I am betting it was a comment more in the feeling of relief that he got an offer and close to home. Although I have to agree those type of comments would definitely need some explanation I am sure.
  13. One of the biggest things that I noticed with our poor tackling in space at times besides the angles(which is also huge) is we need to fly to the ball and not stop and wait for the juke, and then try to tackle. If you fly to the ball and make contact or slow them even it gives the rest of the D time to catch up and prevent the huge play.
  14. I would take a Tommy Armstrong ran team every time over a T-Mart ran team. T-Mart was one hell of an athlete could toss the ball decent at times. What I hated about the T-Mart ran team is that when he got hurt we were done. We put all of our eggs in his basket and it back fired. This would have been the same when Crouch was running the offense he was an outstanding Athlete and stayed healthy so he turned out how T-Mart could have, but that is a big risk to take. Tommy is tough a decent runner he can toss the ball pretty well and will only get better but he has the respect of his team mates and is confident on and off the field.
  15. I like the long arms and big hands. Would be a really nice addition no doubt!! GBR
  16. Wasn't there an article in the mid 90's about the balloons killing birds such as geese or cranes or something? Either way it is stupid and people will bitch if they feel like they need to no matter how dumb the reason.
  17. During night games especially it should be used. That was really cool, and set the atmosphere for the rest of the crowd.
  18. Me as well. This is an AWSOME pick up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. And that just solidifies on how I always felt the Miami fans and program are. Lmao we just need to win and walk away!!
