  1. Well, something a lot of people don't realize about UCF: they're the largest university in the US. They could potentially have rather a lot of people who want to see them in the top 25, especially if they got into a major conference and had some sustained success.
  2. For all the places we're lacking, this right here is by far our biggest problem this season. The other thing people need to remember is that you shouldn't give up on the current guys - just remember that for an O-line (which takes the longest to develop), they're extremely inexperienced. The future for these players is far from hopeless, even if they look bad today.

Guess we won't be seeing Pola-Gates use the rest of his four games... https://www.instagram.com/stories/yhbxntpg/
  5. They're in the top 25 at the moment...
  6. Oh but why stop there? Better coaching and we'd be UNDEFEATED NATIONAL CHAMPIONS FOREVER!!!!11one Lots of people are. Heck, we've even got jackasses like this already writing off an entire class that's barely even seen the field yet: Player development is apparently a foreign concept to a good chunk of our fanbase. Then again, we all witnessed the Mike Riley era, so maybe it's understandable that they just forgot that it exists.
  7. @BoNeyard Yeah, apparently we have a co-starter at WR by that name.
  8. Behind Wan'Dale and Kade Warner, though. It's the Kanawai Noa/Mike Williams spot that's really been MIA this year.
  9. We do have one guy on the staff from that tree - Tony Tuioti coached under Wilcox at Cal.

OTOH, remember when we were talking about how many guys on Riley's staff had experience as a coordinator?
  11. Damnit, @suh_fan93 beat me to posting it by 1 minute.
  12. The halo effect of one really good team making the rest of the East look stronger than they are. In the Big Ten, it's one division, in the SEC, it's the entire freaking conference.
  13. Hmm... Sagarin, FPI, and SP+ have Nebraska at 60, 59, and 50, respectively, and Oregon State at 64, 63, and 59, respectively. I think it would be more accurate to say that both teams are in a Riley-esque place, and trying to escape.
  14. Bo knows? So you're saying we need another Ruud on the staff? I might be able to get behind that idea.
  15. Adidas ZNE hoodie. Looks like it's from a few years ago, and discontinued - can't find the Husker version in stock anywhere online.
  16. That's more like being Frank Solich c. 2002 in games when he'd just plain given up. As if these are somehow different, unrelated things?
  17. You're not supposed to be hearing the DL's names being called much! That's not how it works in most 3-4 schemes! Posts like this are driving me batty, because there's a whole lot of misplaced blame here. I mean hell, simple counting should tell you that you're not going to hear the DL's names called as much, since there's only three of them on the field. But you also need to realize that they have very different responsibilities in a 3-4 than in a 4-3. Mostly, they're there to chew up OL blocks and take up space, while the linebackers are the guys responsible for pass rush and making plays. And it's our linebackers that are letting us down, there. ^ More teams turning to 3-4 defense - ESPN Here's what Purdue's coach had to say about our D after the game: TL;DR: Our linebackers are the problem, and it's not even close. And it's even scarier when you look at how our LB recruiting has went lately...
  18. Do the corners and South stadium look like they're made out of Tinker Toys like the real thing?
