  1. No... Gabbert decommitting should be no surprise. Carter decomitted because he didn't like our style of offense when he watched the Big 12 Championship game, claiming we just "ran and ran over and over again."
  2. I'll be there. Although I go to UNL now, I'm fortunate that my parents still live in Fort Collins so I always make it to Folsom, harassment and all. GBR
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't an in-state, son of a faculty member, go to the University for free anyways (or close enough to free). Save the scholarship for a REAL recruit that doesn't just have a convenient last name, oh, and more than a 1 star rating.
  4. Ok, sounds good. Thanks for the help!
  5. Thinking about going to the KU game in Lawrence, anyone know what section(s) the visitors are put in? Map of seats: http://ev10.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/...mp;appCode=#map Thanks
  6. lols "Why does this happen to me? whyyyyy???"
  7. Knew a reply like this would come, I think that you justified why Migs would be pretty damn cool...
  8. What do you think the flyover on Saturday will be? I'm hoping that it's 4 jets of some sort, whether they be Harriers, F-16s, Migs, or a few F-22 Raptors (http://military.discovery.com/technology/vehicles/fighters/fighters.html) Then again, I was hoping for 300 planes to flyover before the LA-Lafayette game. While on the topic, what, where, and when was the coolest flyover you witnessed? Also, what costs are associated with organizing a flyover? GBR
  9. I was just going to reply with something very similar haha. I lived in Colorado my whole life until I left for UNL 2 years ago when all my other friends left for CU. All my friends back home try to justify the rivalry, and even talk about how good the CU fan base is. Just makes me chuckle on the inside.
  10. Yeah... I looked at that Axel kid's facebook profile... His profile pic is a smashed up old car. Although after browsing his info and stuff he seems like a kid that doesn't like Nebraska football very much.
  11. the class at UNL? i was looking into taking that next semester. how is it? what are the tests like? any papers to write, or just tests? my major is difficult, so i am desperate for an easy elective. Yes the class is at UNL. It's a new professor teaching it this semester names Stempson. He's a really young guy, really nice, and really easy. If you can get past the fact that he's a Yankees fan, hes a really cool guy. Here are the pros and cons... (-)Attendance is taken every day (-)Talk alot about baseball (i hate baseball) (+)only 3 tests, no quizzes or papers (+)watched some cool college football videos, and nebraska history videos. (+)talk about current sport news in the first 10-15 minutes of class. (+)tests are fairy easy, he gives you a study guide and if you know everything on the study guide you will do fine. I haven't paid a lick of attention in class, havn't read any of the assigned readings, and got an 89 ono the first test. I would recommend it. You're taking a great class like spots history and you don't even pay attention or read? What a waste of your time and your, the school's or whatever scholarship's money. Electives are possibly the biggest waste of money and time. I'm majoring in Economics and Finance, and I had to take a Jazz History as well as Computer Science/Astronomy classes. No point in paying attention in them, although I do admit I think a sports history class would interest me enough to read the readings.
  12. All I know is if I am at a game and I hear one of our fans boo the team or the coach I will without hesitation go over and pummel him into oblivion!!!! There is absolutely NO excuse for that. We're looked at as the best fans in college football. Listen to what the announcers were saying about the fans that many of us are more knowlegeable than some coaches. This is what gets my blood pumping. "We're looked at as the best fans in college football." How? Other than clapping and cheering for the other team more than normal, I don't think we stand out. The majority of the stadium sits the entire game, and if we get down by more than 14 the crowd seems to just become apathetic. Though I personally don't agree with booing our team and coaches, I really don't have much of a problem with booing a poor performance, whether it be the coaching, or the officiating. I see nothing wrong with booing the officiating at half. I'm a Nebraska Cornhusker fan. Whether or not that makes me one of the best fans in college football, I don't care.
  13. Suh cut me in line last year at the Hewitt. 'nuff said. On a more serious note, I had never really thought about the topic of this thread at all. Being a well-rounded individual in a situation like his will pay dividends. Look how Blount's stock tanked ever since his incident, it just isn't worth it to do something boneheaded.
