    Seeing the Nebraska players protest, and the governor's reaction along with the intense media coverage has made me realize one important thing: the America that I once knew is dead. The new America is one where race dominates the conversation everyday, and there's nothing we can do about it.

    Scrubs is one of the most underrated shows of all time. I highly recommend it. I would also recommend The Sopranos, albeit technically not a comedy.

    They keep getting worse. I wish they would go back to the format used in the 90's. Now it's just annoying, especially that stupid "can't be beat, won't be beat" rap they do.

    The cars and country club memberships were holdovers from the old days when the head coaches weren't making CEO salaries. Plus, I am sure it wasn't a big deal for a car dealership to give the coach use of a vehicle so they can say "Hey, we sold Devaney that Cadillac you always see him, as he drives through campus." For those who are wondering, yes, Devaney would drive through campus on the big student walk ways, because he didn't want to deal with Lincoln's crappy road system as he was trying to get to his office in the South Stadium complex. you mean in the days they were making 6 figures instead of 7, in which due to inflation, is really no different anyway? Poor folks. I really feel for them. A $3 million salary in 2016 is not the equivalent of $23,000 in 1972, which was Tom Osborne's salary as head coach of Nebraska.     No surprises. What's interesting is the number of seniors at key positions. It will be very interesting to see who starts at quarterback, tight end, safety, etc. next year.

    I find it funny, considering he was raised by two white parents who were fairly well off. If there is one man who didn't grow up being held down and racially discriminated against, it's Kaepernick.

    The suspension should have been longer. It would be interesting to know if he has to attend mandatory AA meetings.

    Reading all of these responses, with so many defending the man and creating excuses for his behavior and utter recklessness, it makes me wonder if being a Nebraska fan is all that different from being a fan in the SEC. I'm seeing a lot of strange rationing and excuse-making that isn't normally associated with Nebraska. If this is the so-called "Nebraska way," I think everyone needs to re-examine what exactly the "Nebraska way" is.

    great example for the kids, eh? What a f ucking idiot! You're getting paid 6 figures and still won't pay for a taxi? This is a fire-able offense, considering he has quite the history. If Riley does decide to keep him, you got to be looking at serious repercussions; lengthy suspension, huge fine, mandatory AA meetings, along with the legal ramifications (possibly loss of driver's license). And thank God he didn't kill anyone.

    For anyone that has Comcast, have you been getting the on-screen messages to upgrade your digital cable box by a certain date? And if you didn't did anything happen, i.e., lose channels?

      I have Comcast. The only thing I can think of is that if your boxes are in fact old maybe they're no longer capable of properly receiving updates or something? I know that did happen with their 2.0 modems. They made me swap mine out but this was a few years ago. I am not sure if this is what is happening to you though so I'm just guessing.

      suh_fan93, I am talking about the tv set top boxes, not the Internet modems. Mine is only a few years old. I have been getting messages everyday saying if I don't turn mine in for a new one, I am going to lose channels. I was wondering if anyone received the same messages, but decided not to do anything.

      Unfortunately you might need to call call customer service. Could just be a defective box or a bad/weak/too strong of a signal into it.

    That is so beyond absurd. I can't believe an institute of higher learning would treat its student so coldly. This all seems very un-Christian, if you will, of Baylor. To support football players over rape victims; I just can't wrap my head around it.
