You are sort of missing the point. The point is not, "Hey guys! Come quick! We're 19th!!!" The point is, "How in the hell did we manage to stay ranked despite looking like @$$ in our bowl game?" I would rather take a QB who has the chance of busting a long touchdown rather than a guy who hardly brings anything to the table. Cody takes to long of strides to be effective in the running game, and he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. It seems like every time he gets a chance, he squanders it. I might be willing to believe the CG hype if i had seen anything out of him besides a very mediocre performance against a really bad Colorado team. He may be a "leader", but he doesn't have the skills to be a starting QB.

You gotta understand, If his head coach could win the game by running the ball every single play, he would. He's as old school as it gets. Bubba's definitely gonna rely on his legs in college. The game i watched he only threw six passes, and completed five of them. He throws a lot prettier ball than Martinez, but will be behind just because he never had to throw in HS. He has more potential in the passing game than Martinez, due to the fact that hes starting from scratch. The coaches will be able to tutor him from day 1. With his size and his arm strength, its not hard to believe he could become a pass first QB with a little work

We had a player go to KU to play in Mangino's final year, said the guy was a giant douche. He was nice when he recruited him and all that, but after the first mistake he made, Mangino told him he would "send him back to that fn hick town where you came from" if he messed up again

Why is everyone so obsessed with Carnes? We have seen ZERO playtime on this kid, just reports from practice. I can understand all the hype if we had seen some game experience, but half the people on here make him seem like he's Mike Vick. If he was better than Martinez, he would have started, or at the very least, not been redshirted

The playmaking ability he gave us this year was more than any QB I've seen since Taylor or Crouch...AS A RS FRESHMAN. He was better than any QB we had on the roster this year. I can't even imagine what the season would have been like if we had gone with Lee or Green. It would have been a heck of a lot worse, thats for sure. If the coaching staff and fan base gives him enough time, he WILL turn into a good player. He just has a lot of work to do

The Juco I go to played his Juco in the national championship game. We're not missing out on much. He is a physical blocker, but his athletic ability is way overrated. Wherever he goes, he's not gonna help them out in the passing game much.

None of them deserve 1/8th of what they are paid. No college coach should make more than ca. $200,000 a year. If you had to put in the amount of hours that coaches do, I'm sure that you'd want a little more money

The screen passes were one of the only things i liked about callahans offense. Those things worked like gang busters!
