  1. The University switched conferences. Not just the football team. Making a switch solely based on football isn't what smart universities do. And maybe you forgot......Texas?
  2. I think any college football observer would have called BS on the Williams ejection, regardless of the team. And yes, you can appeal these extreme calls and I believe there's a history of them being overturned. They can't change the outcome of any game played obviously, but they can reinstate a player -- and in the case of the NFL, waive the fine.
  3. The reason 77 year old Joe Biden won the nomination is because people associate him with the Peace, Prosperity, and Reform of the two Obama/Biden terms. This notion that life is better for Americans under Trump defies truckloads of evidence. In fairness, the increasing disparities in this country have a forty year history of GOP policies and Democrat enabling. Anyway, pretty sure you're not interested or you would have done the :10 Google search yourself, but here's the first thing I grabbed: https://www.newsweek.com/joe-biden-achieved-40-years-politics-1541278
  4. Trump does want to win, as it's his best strategy for avoiding prison. So for the moment he listened to advisors who begged him not to be himself. Speculation is that he also found a less manic dosage of Adderall. Cheap shot? I wouldn't bet against it. Your guy is still a terrible President and an awful human being.
  5. Put all your money on Nebraska and give me a 10% vig for the insider tip!
  6. I called a Nebraska upset and I'm not backing off. If the Huskers lose, I'm willing to eat a big piece of chocolate cake.
  7. I honestly think Zac Taylor will make us forget Jamal Lord.
  8. I'm sure Scott will have some fun wrinkles for Ohio State, but we should also prepare ourselves for hearty diet of bubble screens, seemingly practiced by every coach in football.
  9. I think there's nothing Scott Frost would appreciate more than a crowdsourced petition on what offense he should be running.
  10. In one week we open the season with an upset of Ohio State. You read it here.
  11. Can you imagine what a Trump offspring would give to hear their dad talk to them this way?
  12. It's really important that people realize how untrue this is. Donald Trump has been a terrible money manager his whole life --- juggling creditors, destroying his father's company, and wearing out his welcome at almost every financier across the world save for Deutsche Bank and some Russian and Eastern European oligarchs (and money launderers). This does not take into account the 15 businesses he launched carrying the Trump name, all of which failed, some in a cloud of fraud. Sometimes he just refuses to come up with the money, which is why there are more than 2,000 lawsuits against him by contractors. After his father's death and his bankrupting of Trump Enterprises, Donald and sons were working the backwater channels to prop up the resort business, owning almost nothing but leasing the name and management services. That's when Trump was rescued by Mark Burnett and allowed to play Donald Trump on TV, with a very nice compensation package as a producer that Donald proceeded to plow into money-losing golf courses and other vanity projects. He also forgot to sign the pseudonym on the non-disclosure contract with Stormy Daniels, so he essentially paid a porn star $150,000 to stay quiet and then couldn't stop her from telling the world about his deformed penis. So there's your man in a nutshell: 1) a$$h@!e. 2) terrible negotiator 3) worst business outcome. This is why people want to know who he owes $400 million dollars to, and what he might be willing to do to not get his legs broken. Yeah, that's the guy I want in charge of our nuclear arsenal.
  13. If the Big 10 hadn't reinstated football, they might be feeling vindicated at the moment. Procedural question: if ANY Husker game is played does a YES vote count, or does the season need to be completed? Asking for my bookie.
  14. You know who IS in Donald Trump's league? The Shamwow Guy. But he was unavailable.
  15. Hey, I took the question seriously and answered with specifics way back Wednesday at 9:37 a.m. You failed to respond. Again, I can list any number of things I wish Biden did better, but there we are. While we're here, What is Donald Trump good at? No vague platitudes. You can use his entire public career. But extra points for qualities that have helped him govern this great nation of ours.
  16. Who cares what anyone does, you know? We're all going to die and nothing really matters.
  17. So.....salute Husker players, coaches, and parents for fighting to get the 2020 season back, hate on the national sports pundits for dissing Nebraska, but.........don't bother to watch the game because you know we're going to lose? WTF is wrong with you people?
  18. I have also seen the interviews with medical professionals claiming masks aren't effective, but there are very few of them and the "professionals" have typically been discredited by all available evidence. Some, of course, are paid shills, with a paid axe to grind. I'm not sure you actually read the cdc link you provided. The medical community has always been pretty unanimous about this -- including their early mistake. The only reason to insist masks aren't useful or needed is because you are balls deep in partisan conspiracy theory. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-02801-8
  19. He knows the Senate very well. That's not a small thing. He's always had Republicans who speak highly of him. He's pretty damn fluent in foreign policy and brings working relationships with several foreign leaders. The upside to being a career politician is the ability to read the room. Joe Biden has successfully worked the angle of Not Being Bernie Sanders and Not Being Donald Trump, and that is the governable sweet spot in America 2020. You can flip-flop on positions or you can evolve. However you want to put it, 2020 Joe Biden has aligned himself with a clear majority of American on most key issues. Biden is really good at looking average Americans in the eye. He rode a commuter train to work, owns a dog, has a working wife, a deceased war vet for a son, a troubled second son, and a loving daughter. He's pretty good at being a real American. He's good at advocating for the traditional Democratic social safety net without frightening Wall Street. He's not afraid to surround himself with people who are smarter and more experienced in their areas of expertise. Exactly how good Biden is at all this is moot, given how terrible his opponent is on all the above. Can Joe and Kamala count on your vote?
  20. I think he was asking if we ever wondered what Joe Biden's take was BEFORE Joe entered the 2020 race. I'm not sure Biden was looked at in an electable light until the South Carolina primary.
  21. Valid point. But people do think "I want to know how Barack Obama would solve this problem" and at the very least Joe Biden is the guy who stood next to Obama for 8 years. I don't think anyone views the Presidential election 2020 as a clash of the Titans.
