  1. Still listed on Rivals. Maybe they are slow to update.
  2. Look at our schedule next year. I still think it is possible we will be a better team and have a worse record.
  3. We shouldn't get one. Mizzou killed us.
  4. Seems like we had a lot of homegrown talent on the field last Friday.
  5. I too have shifted my designated Asante yelling time to West. I think Asante has gotten better (sometimes only slowly) all year.
  6. I'm not saying you're wrong but I have a question. How do people know these things. I've seen this about EE now and about the 4 star DB that just committed. If they won't qualify why would the coaching staff offer? How could people on the message boards know but not the coaching staff? I guess I need someone to educate me here. If people won't qualify, couldn't you determine that early and justr avoid them? Why even offer? You can look at their GPA, core grades or test scores and get an idea. But it's still good to offer kids you think are talented but know have no chance to qualify. You can then sign and place the kid at a JUCO or even prep school, watch his progress, then have an easier time to recruit the kid in 2-3 years if he is worthy. Kids will feel loyalty to a school that recruited them and the JUCO school will push them back your way for helping put a talented kid in their program. Same for prep schools. Not saying that is the case with Evans, because I have no idea if we will even place the kid, although we likely will. But guys like Broderick Hunter, Ricky Henry, Wallace Franklin, Aaron Schulte are all guys we placed then watched the progress of in JUCO. Thanks Willie, So if you over sign by a few people it doesn't hurt if a couple don't qualify. Plus you are usually first in the running in a couple of years when they've matured and qualified. Makes sense. So there really is no risk to signing players that may not qualify.
  7. Agreed! You never know what will happen but based on what I saw yesterday that team would run all over us.
  8. I thought this is what would happen. This is a media dream- 2 first year coaches, up and coming programs. One team an option team, the other that used to define what it meant to be an option team. BTW- GaTech looked pretty bad ass against Ga. We'll need some healthy linebackers for that game.

  10. I just looked at my wife and said "OMG he made it!" That was after doing that weird dance where you try to push the ball a little to the left with your body while the kick was in the air! I thought it was going wide right for a second and I was trying to hook it back in.
  11. Living in denver, I hear him on the radio alot. Hawk is a good guy and a good coach. Listening to him talk will get you fired up. That "Best day as a buff..." comment was am moment of weakness for a man that thought he might not win a game in his first season.
  12. So......I can't say I liked it all but this has been a pretty damn entertaining football game.
  13. It feels like the clock is crawling right now!!! Good luck to you as well....... (although I hope we crush CU!)
  14. I'm curious why husker fans find this offensive. We are not the team to beat in the B12 anymore. We're not even the team to beat in the B12 north. Living in Denver, I'd say most of their fan base considers this a "red letter" game. I remember a couple years back on the Irv and Joe show people saying they would be OK losing every game if they beat Nebraska. And the Hawkis quote....the panderings of a man who thought he might go winless in his first season. If we weren't a big game to them then why us in the quote? BTW husker fans, all of the energy and dislike that gets posted about CU, is the kind of emotion spent on a.........rival. We may be living in denial.
  15. I really like it when the players get exposed as human and not these crazy god-like figures that the fan base tries to make them into. I also like that this wasn't the over-done "from the ghetto" story. We worship them when things go well. We call for their heads, or pretend it is nothing, when they get in trouble. We call them busts when they miss tackles. Hey, how are classes going? How was your childhood? Have you talked to your mom lately? Its good to see them as people once in a while.
  16. So...... Brent Qvale OL - committed Chris Omigie WR Jarvis Giles RB Nick Ash OL - committed Bennie Logan DE Dejon Gomes CB plus Kinnie Burkhead Heimuli maybe Oku? What a bout that TE? Sorry my OCD wants to see it in a list.
  17. Yea, can someone give the full official and unofficial. It sounds like it is developing on a daily basis.
  18. I'm curently making my list. Some people are getting RickRolled for xmas.
  19. Good thing there is a trusty computer/ vote/ bizarre bowl system to help with all of this and not a play off.
  20. "I now just use this debate as a litmus test to weed out the people that aren't smarter than most." OK smart guy. OU is killing TT who beat Texas who beat OU. Since you are so smart- who is the best team? Who should represent the B12 in a title shot? Or should it be USC or another 1 loss team? I guess I'm not bright enough to figure out how to determine the best team in a competitive sport without competition. "If you want to see playoffs, Watch the NFL..Or the other divisions...Is it a coincidence that Div.1 FB is the most followed form of Football?" Div. 1 FB popularity has nothing to do with the bowls. Has to do with the fact that there is at least 1 D1 college team, often more, in every state. Everybody can find a team to cheer for. Combine that with the fact that many of these schools have been playing each other longer than the NFL has been around and there you have. Now, could someone smart enough to see why college footballl playoffs would be the greatest thing ever tell me how to use multiple and smaller quotes from previous posts in my own?
  21. I agree 100%. College football is special because every game matters. I'm afraid a playoff would make it NFL Lite. Does anyone remember who won the Super Bowl two or three years ago? But 10 years later I still argue with my friends in Michigan over who would have won, Michigan or Nebraska. Thats the worst bowl system arguement I've ever heard. You can't remember who won the superbowl but still argue over who would've won a game that never happened? Why didn't that game happen? Oh yeah, the bowl system sucks. I'd rather watch the game than argue about it. How about a system where the game actually happened? and I'm sure we all remember who won all of those meaningless bowl games. At least if 1 of those teams was going to advance to another "bowl game" the next week for the next round of the play offs they'd be interesting to someone other than the fan bases of 2 6-win schools. The idea that a playoff makes the regular season less important also fails, as EVERY OTHER SPORT HAS A PLAY OFF AND YOU HAVE TO WIN IN THE REGULAR SEASON TO PLAY IN IT!! Here's hoping they get it right in my lifetime.
  22. Something along this line- most people get the intermurals thing and the TV people would probably run the clip if needed.
  23. Problem with this is only 1 SEC or B12 team in the playoff? Doesn't really reflect who the best teams are and thats what a playoff should do. If CFB ever does get its head out of its a$$ a have a playoff I'd send the wife and kids to grandma's and watch nothing but......
