  1. The only person who should be eating crow right now is SE. never mind ... this game has me not thinking straight at all. The above is so not what i meant.
  2. Rightly so? Do you see Nebraska trending UPwards? 1 win (which they were very fortunate to get) in the last 5 tries. Someone said in another thread that they were 11 yards away from being 0-3. I see a trend, but not one that includes asking a coach back for year.
  3. Where are you seeing 4 more wins? I'm not trying to be a argumentative, but i dont see 5 more wins. We may end up last in B1G.
  4. I've never been one to call for a back up, but i swear if TL starts the game next week, i may just turn off the game. (Ok, that wont happen as i will always support the TEAM). I'm not sure why there is this stubbornness to try something new when the old isnt working.
  5. Is it too vague of an answer if I both want and expect to see progress in all 3 phases?
  6. Wisconsin fired their o-line coach a few years ago after a couple of games. But, wow anyway. Editing to add - that was after losing to Oregon State.
  7. I learned that we are too polite. Oregon tried to hand us the game and we politely said, "No thank you!"
  8. Times have sure changed. I never thought there'd be a day when I said i was worried about playing Purdue. But, yep, they'll scare a few folks this year, if not win outright.
  9. Huskers will get a defensive TD next game Announcers will confuse team names at least twice (Huskers - Huskies)
  10. +1 - of all the new coaching hires, i thought he was the best of the bunch - Purdue is looking very good.
  11. I was amusing myself yesterday and thought maybe wires got crossed and someone said "get Lincoln Riley"... but SE heard, get "Riley to Lincoln"... and he googled Coach Riley and Mike was the name that popped up. So, you see, this is all from a misunderstanding.
  12. Before the season started, i watched a couple of Tulane games to see him in game action. I'm no genius but what i saw in his Tulane games was exactly what we saw vs Oregon. Holding onto the ball way too long, forcing plays, not accurate, etc. I kept seeing before the season that his stats at Tulane weren't all his fault -- bad O-Line, too many youngsters on offense and whatever else would give hope that he could be better than what i saw. But, games i saw, most of the bad plays were directly on him. Even last week, he was trying to force into double coverage and i knew he got away with a lot in that game - he should have been picked off several times vs ASU.
  13. "I have done an excellent job in all areas"
  14. Has happened on every browser I've tried on my ipad, with pop up blockers and ad blockers... you name it. I am using the desktop layout. Just started happening to me over the weekend, and boy has it happened a lot.
  15. Mavric - thanks so much for posting the press conferences here. I really appreciate it, and i'm sure others do as well - you are da man!!
  16. And how! The title of the thread should be, It's on ESPN News, no wait, now it's on ESPN2, no wait, now it's not on any channel, oh hey it's on ESPN.
  17. Sadly, they are both thinking the same about the Huskers.
  18. I put "winning record" as a successful season. Guess we've come to take those for granted. Or my expectations have been lowered that much. Sigh.
  19. THIS!! I have long maintained that very few teams have actually beat the Huskers - as they typically find ways to beat themselves. So, I want to beat the Nebraska that keeps beating Nebraska. You could say that about every opponent that NU has beaten. Just a matter of what side of the fence you are on. Sometimes teams are just better than you. Hence my reference to "very few teams", to account for those better teams. If they play their best, and still don't win, I am ok with that. Goes back to Osborne's philosophy of - beat the teams you should. Many of those "should beat" teams have gotten the better of NU in recent times.
  20. THIS!! I have long maintained that very few teams have actually beat the Huskers - as they typically find ways to beat themselves. So, I want to beat the Nebraska that keeps beating Nebraska.
  21. I believe they have changed now to the Fox and Hound, right outside the King of Prussia mall.
  22. Because he wasn't liked by his teammates. Hopefully this lights a fire under Tommy's butt. Pay more attention. Tommy had a lot of votes. Pay more attention. He was talking about Cook. No, if you rewatch the Riley video you posted in the Fall Camp thread, jump to around the 3:30 mark, and he specifically says that Tommy got lots of votes.
