The return to Standard Time should be on November 1, the day after Halloween. That way everyone gets an extra hour of sleep after the long night of trick-or-treating.

@Cdog923 thanks for the news. Not that one death is better than the other, but I just always appreciate the calls from NebrasketballMike. Even if its about something negative, he always seems to phrase things in a respectful way.
It seems like the hosts really appreciate him too. I remember one time his call got cut off short and there was "cussing" or something as the call was disconnected. It did sound a bit off. The USC hosts were beside themselves. They were begging for folks that knew Mike to check on him and let them know if he was okay. They were wrecks for like a half hour. It ended up being something really silly like Mike's cat jumping on his desk and hanging up the phone and unplugging cords.

This is the most Toxic fall camp media I've EVER seen. It's nauseating. I'm so disgusted with the media that I ended my sub to the OWH and have decided to refuse to listen to any local journalist (hater). If s#!tel is on 1620 I turn the station. This s#!t show of journalism is absolutely sickening.

@Loebarth I get the frustration. But sports journalists have always been "commentators" on top of being "reporters". People can get stats and roster news from Huskers.com. But opinions (good or bad) are what drives the media. We either love their opinions, or love to hate them. Either way, they are successful.
If coaches don't give them something to write about, they will have to find something to fill their columns. Not writing about the Husker football team won't cut it in Omaha/Lincoln. Especially during the season.

We have Sam Keller type drama at QB...well as soon as people start choosing sides between Smothers and the others..
We have Bo Pelini level isolation and bitterness towards the media...
We have Solich era coaching staff rebuilds to try and save a HC career...
I'm sure we have people eating ice cream somewhere on campus!

This season is quickly turning into "us against the world" that NU fans love to hate.
I don't see any of this ending well. Frost will win 9 games and will be miserable doing it. Next thing you know, there is going to be clips of "they want to fire me? Then go ahead and fire me!" and people are going to be ****-suckers and all kinds of fun things!
I have a really bad feeling that this year is going to be a s#!tshow to end all s#!tshows...

So, UNL graduation today. There’s a clear bag policy. My daughter forgets and brings a small clutch purse. At the gate, they take her purse, put it in a gallon zip lock bag and give it back to her to carry in. Please explain the purpose.

Super Bowl Halftime Show
The entire discussion around this is ridiculous. Yes, it was different this year than other years. It appealed to a different crowd that some others. Great.
What I find irritating is people who are saying..."this is what it should have always been". Well....sorry to disappoint you, but there are lots of different generations that watch the Super Bowl and they probably try to appeal to various age groups in different years.
Next year might be totally different and that's fine.
The funny ones are the people claiming...YEAH....they finally appealed to a younger crowd. Hmmmm....artists from the 90s??? If you're saying that...you're no longer part of the "younger crowd".

@swmohusker I liked Eminem but agree with cutting 50Cent, KL, and MJB. Snoop, Dre, Eminem and a 2Pac tribute would have been money! Would only get better if they added Ice Cube.
