Only four teams are playing for the NC. The rest are just playing one more game for the players and fans. if the Huskers were 0-12 and invited to play in a bowl, I think most of us would still watch. So yes, if they get invited they should go.

RBs did improve in turnovers. Actually Purdy was better too. Penalties were much better this years than in previous. But young/inexperienced players do tend to make more mistakes.

Something should be fixed in day one, but you don’t have any idea how. got it. I’m sure to value your posts. I’m sure it isn’t just empty whining born out of frustration…

How did they fix them?

How would you fix those issues in one day? Seriously. What should the first practice of the year be structured like to fix those issues?

I’m not counting on it at all. But do bowls have to invite teams in order of APR finish, or just make sure it is “good enough” to not raise to many eyebrows?

Nebraska was 12 points away from winning 9 games (I know it was an easy schedule) with a dumpster fire of an offensive roster situation. Third string QB starting most of the year: and winning… Third string RB was asked to become the focus in run game. WR that were expected to redshirt became starters The OL was a revolving door of injuries The fact that people are pissed about losing to a 10-2 Iowa team kinda proves they thought Rhule had the shell of a team capable of winning the game. The staff over achieved this year in my opinion. I like em!

Why is it when fans of other teams come here to bash the Huskers it’s called trolling. But when “fans” do it, they want to act like they are somehow more dedicated fans???

If they were to get invited, they deserve it. That’s it, end of discussion. Just quit cheering for them. You’d be better off.

It was such a cluster so I can’t remember, but I’d be very surprised if Iowa wouldn’t have put a returner back there. A “surprise” pooch punt would have been a poor decision too. The punt that actually happened should have been the first and only call.

This. I think it would be a huge blow to his reputation of “building”. Now if it was after year 3 and NU won 10 games???? Then all bets are off.

This is going to come off as “poo-pooing” NUs defense this year and I really don’t mean it to. The defense is undeniably the strength of this year’s team. But White’s DC resume at NU now really isn’t a lot different than from a calendar year ago. He stops bad offenses like he’s supposed to. But so far, not much success against teams like Michigan, or even Colorado…(year at Nebraska) Hes a great and super smart guy that deserves a shot at a head gig. But I don’t think it’s based on his performance at NU. The Huskers are just the latest notch in his belt.

No kidding! Our AD in our Class B high school makes close to 100k if not over. (I'd guess over) edit: according to govsalaries.com he makes $122,000. Don't know how accurate that site is, but it has to be close!

I don't totally agree with "college football is dead". It will be the same as it's always been. Colleges have to recruit players. Those players will have to be academically eligible. And they will play on a team representing the Universities. I don't think anything really "dies", but recruiting now looks A LOT different. The transfer portal is the biggest ding to the sport. It makes it hard to build a team if you are not at the top of the heap. But until coaches are required to sit a year for voluntarily leaving a job for a better one, I fully support the players having the same privilege.

At least strip the guy of his committee assignments. What a freaking joke! (not the funny kind...)

But all these teams said they knew it was happening. Did they not change signals at all? Most of these coaches also admit to doing it “within the rules” themselves. Its all pretty lame in my opinion.

When media outlets give the B1G the money they did, every thing is a money grab to make money to make up the teams’ paydays.
