  1. At a very minimum, when we travel to Madison, all I'd like to see is a relatively close, hard fought game, like we saw tonight. Please, no more Bo'lowouts.
  2. I don't know... Wisconsin's pro-style, red-shirt freshman QB is looking pretty good against the Buckeyes right now.
  3. Dzuris' two offside penalties were untimely.
  4. Worst non-call by refs was long Hoosier return enabled to two blocks in the back. Did anyone pick up on the parting shot, not sure which announcer said it... something to the effect of, "Couple games ahead with Wisconsin and Ohio State, but otherwise remainder of season is very winnable for the Huskers."
  5. Bowl elegible baby, yeah! Seriously, someone needs to pimp slap Langsdorf into adding more boundary plays to the book. We're gonna keep seeing teams stacking the box until we make them play sideline to sideline. Here's hoping we got all of our away game crap out today, and we march into Wisky stronger and sharper... If you were paying attention instead of complaining all the time you would notice that TA can't throw boundary passes accurately at all because of his footwork or lack there of. Roll him out. Hard to throw off that back foot when running. He's actually done a remarkable job, even when rolling out... to square up... and throw off the back foot.
  6. This team gave Ohio State a LOT of trouble at the Horseshoe... after where we were last year, this is a good win. The announcers sucked. Did anyone hear the parting shot at us? Something to the effect of 'They've got Wisconsin and Ohio State coming up, but the remainder of their season is very winnable.'
  7. I got a little excited when I saw Riley getting into it with the official on an illegal procedure call the other day. That said, I really like not seeing Bo's saliva spewing, hat tossing tirades on our sideline any longer. Riley is such a class act.
  8. Still hanging on at #30 in pass efficiency, nearly 60% completion rate.
  9. I could stomach ascending to the top 10 with a couple more wins, headed into Madison, whether deserved or not. I just don't want to see us get blown out, as we have in past visits. I'd be fine with a close loss to Wisconsin, likely loss the following week... then winning out. That would be a fine improvement on last season.
  10. All this talk about Wisconsin... let's beat Indiana and Purdue first.
  11. DPE almost seems to be 'snake bitten' in the role of punt returner, overly cautious, constantly fair catching. His big return came on the one punt, he probably shouldn't have risked taking, almost as if he was feeling the pressure of finally returning one.
  12. DPE still seems a little timid taking punts... can hear fans growing more discontent with each fair catch (it was ironic to see that big return last week, on the ONE catch, he probably should have fair caught).
  13. Oregon lost of Colorado too, haven't really played anyone yet. We're better than we were last year, that is for certain. I'm content with steady progress. Obviously next year is going to require some re-tooling on offense. I'm curious if the success Tommy has had thus far, might be leaving coaches thinking about long term philosophy at all. You take away that QB run threat, and you lose a lot.
  14. Running back by committee seems to be working just fine... glad to see Wilbon has joined in.
  15. Anyone notice what's going on between Duke and Notre Dame? Western Michigan is obviously pretty decent.... I suspect Northwestern is better their record suggests.
  16. A good time to post the 'Kirk Herbstreit is a whining little girl' video again
  17. DPE finally exorcised some personal demons, oddly on the one punt he probably should have fair caught.
  18. Meanwhile, there's a BTN love fest over Beathard, and who has he beat? I thought it interesting as well, there are no less than 5 B1G QB's ahead of him on this week's QB efficiency rankings, including Tommy (at #19... I wonder how long he can keep that up).
  19. These guys are showing us no love whatsoever. In final drive player of the day discussion, no one even mentions Tommy's performance.
  20. Wyoming beat a Northern Illinois squad, which historically has given some power 5 schools fits themselves. I sure hope we aren't looking past them.
  21. My wife and I were going to be in Lincoln tomorrow, but not attending the game. Is Haymarket tough to get into during the game? Anyone recommend a bar/restaurant venue and how early to get there? How about the Cube? Is it hard to find a spot to watch it? Thanks for insights.
  22. I'm curious what the budget is for this advertising campaign?? How about just keeping it, in lieu of donations for outstanding season tickets.
