  1. I think we should push hard for Daniels and Uher. Uher seems to have the frame... if he has game, we should definitely take a look. Daniels has been raved about for quite some time... could be a good one. Keep the best instate kids INSTATE.
  2. ESPN has him list at 6'5" and 210 lbs.
  3. U gotta figure, tho, that having his dad being a Husker has to help our chances. Especially if we offer first and really show genuine interest.
  4. Its been brought up before... guys will step up and we'll be fine at WR next year. Meno should be a stud of a possession receiver, and maybe 1)Paul will finally turn all that hype and potential into production 2)Gilleylan will finally start catching the ball. On Big Red Wrap Up, Kinnie said the coaches (Gilmore) told him he reminded them a lot of Mo Purify with more speed... could be a good one. But I think this year we finally step up and get that true #1, gamebreaker at WR. I would love McCay from KS or Keeston Terry from MO (Terry coming for junior day). Both have great upside AND stars. Also, sleeper recruit is a guy name Josh Harper outta CA... anybody know how that name is related to husker FB?
  5. I really do not think we have anything @ all to worry about with Martinez. I think that is exactly what everybody is worrying about... speculation. We all made it up in our heads. Martinez, his father, nobody even remotely close to the situation has ever said he's wavering on his pledge. I truly get the feeling he is kid who places high importance on his word, and he will sign with the scarlet and cream come 2morro. Also, new "Ready to Sign?" Myles Wade teaser on Rivals front page.
  6. You've got to figure Bodtmann's decommitment actually bodes well for us on this one. Perhaps if the coaches were willing to release him from scholly, they felt (or knew, ie, silent commit) that they already had another backer.
  7. Scout article says Wade committed to Tech. Too bad... woulda been nice to see him and Suh play together.
  8. http://nebraska.scout.com/a.z?s=204&p=...d2%26c%3d832421 I hope this isn't another Travis Lewis... Stoops can suck a four letter word. I think Green will stay on board, but him trying to swoop in two weeks before signing day makes me sick. Ik recruiting is cut-throat, but I have a good feeling about Green... I think he's truly COMMITTED to being a Husker. Here's to hoping Stoops doesn't make it to another BCS game to choke in.
  9. Take if for what it's worth, idk who you trust more, but our Rivals page has a headline- "Huskers Take Lead" ...with no question mark... that links to a "Tuihalamaka names leader after weekend trip" teaser. http://nebraska.rivals.com/barrier_noentry...p;mid=&rid=
  10. I think we need to get this kid: hook, line, and sinker. Definitely let Suh host him on visit... he reminds me alot of Suh last year. In Blackshirt316's reply, Wade is quoted as saying he has a never quit motor and has much brute strength, but that he wanted to work on his technique. That was Suh's problem last year... he could usually flat out overpower people, but his technique wasn't up to par. Bo and Co fixed that. In fact, he said he's coming back b/c he wanted even more polishing on it. Now imagine what they could do for Wade, seemingly a Suh clone...
  11. A story was released about Wade on Scout tonight. In the article, it was said he was a 5* DT, but his new profile lists him as a 3* with only offer from Texas Tech. It said he was high on Tech, Auburn, and US! Top three. Has said he really wants to visit all 3... hopefully, we can get the last visit. With Bo, Ek, Papuchis, Carl, and everybody else putting on the full court press for this court, I love our chances. Especially since Bo has shown he can be a really gifted closer with recruits. I feel we'll offer him on visit... he'd be the homerun other guy we could take with Thad Randle. Would make a great pair if you ask me. One very important thing that we have going on for us with this guy... SUH! Our do it all guy. They're both from Oregon and Myles actually TRAINED with Suh back in HS... could be huge in getting him N (hopefully). Could step in and play next year, possibly... give Crick and Moore more time to develop. We'd use a rotation anyway. It'd be darn cool to see him and his training buddy anchoring the middle, though. And if I'm correct, he's a 3/2 guy. If we lose a recruit to Chizik or another B12 team... well, just not good.
  12. I am in favor of a spread coast attack myself, if there is such a thing. WC and Spread. It just gives us so many ways to attack the other D... we can spread them out n run it up the gut/to the edge/throw... and if we need to, we should be able to I formation it up and get a few crucial yards running behind the big uglies. That being said, I would love to see more small speed receivers added to the mix. Curenski, Marlowe, Bell (who from all accounts is very underrated... could be special) and yeah Kildow could all be those guys. It'd be nice for us to have our own lil Desean Jackson runnin around.
  13. Oversigning isn't really all that risky. You figure in kids transfering out (Sullivan, Hetzler so far) and kids not making it, academically or otherwise, and we should have enuff schollies. That being said, I love Gordon for the same reasons I loved Omigie... he's a big guy, and if he can catch, he could be a reliable guy to dump the ball to and let him try to break tackles. Like a Mo Purify. I think Meno will be like that for us next year; down the road, maybe Steven Osborne could be too... and hopefully Gordon.
  14. I think in the end he ends up going back to the U with his bro. The mentioning of possibly choosing us is just out of courtesy... idk why...? If he wanted to come to somewhere with good O line man, he'd definitely come here. I expect it to be one of our strengths next year... very deep. And the four lineman we have in this class look like under the radar (i.e., Qvale) beasts. ALL HUGE! Regardless, we don't need Bryce. We got Sexy Rexy and that's good 'nuff. Also, Miami sucks. They keep reelin' in kids based on their reputation, and that's it, cuz if you actually watch the team play they're obviously not getting it done... in the words of a great man... "They've gravitated to mediocrity."
  15. Yea kinda p***** me off a lil. It's almost like the nat'l bias against "us farmers" kicked in and they dropped stars cuz they just realized he's goin here. The only NE kid l8ly whose rep they didn't touch was Baker's from last year. To tell you the truth, I think the analysts and the media hate us so bad because for all those years (and hopefully some more coming up here soon ) we just flat out outplayed schools... while being such a clean team. We straight up beat most teams and then showed nothing but generosity and care for the other team and their fans afterwards. UNLESS THEY'RE THE PUFFS OR CHOKLAHOMA .
  16. With guys like him and Justin Brown, Sione Tiuhalamaka, and Bennie Logan on r board we are showing we are not gonna skimp on the defensive line. Personally, I think a 3* or less kid who gets coached up by Bo can be a hell of a lot better than a lazy 5* who has his mind stuck in the NFL. And for you star gazers out there, I think kids r gonna start to notice guys like Ty, Zach, Pierre, and of course, Suh, and realize that Pelini is a mastermind @ grooming big uglies up front. WE WILL START TO GET R GUYS.
  17. Not that anybody cares but Green actually fell one spot to the #7 QB spot on Scout. I think the two biggest things about Green are 1) WE ACTUALLY GOT HIM ON CAMPUS>>> . and 2) I sense Cody really cares about the team, the school, the coaches, and is willing to work hard to earn his spot and help the team... regardless of if/when he starts under center.
  18. #1 USC and Nebraska at #20, USC is always stacked and just guessing that NU will be in the 20-25 range anyway, doubt any higher. Would be nice though Idk that I'd put USC #1. They are always stacked, you're right (and it sickens me), but they lose A LOT off of that revered defense this year, including Maualuga and Cushing. I think we deserve to be a little higher, probably above UNC. I'd also drop Miami out of the top 25... they suck. Nuff said. Also I have no idea why Georgia is that high... they're losing both Stafford and Moreno. Also, get Iowa outta there. See Miami comment. And I live in Iowa.
  19. I've heard the name Justin Brown thrown around as a DT. I think, as unknown as he is, he'd be a great get. 6'2", 260 lbs... Like Thad Randle, Ideal height for an interior guy, they just need to put on bulk. With the facilities and guidance @ Lincoln that should be no problem. 4.8 forty... Impressive for a lineman. We just recently offered. Hope we can get a visit.
  20. I think this is more pessimistic than realistic. When you look at the recruiting class as a whole, it is still very, very solid. If Burkhead and Green can live up to our expectations for them, they could be the focal points of the offense in the coming years. We reeled in four massive lineman who will only fill out more as they hit the weight room/training table. They are all at least 6'4 and 280 lbs. Defensively, we're also very tight. We brought in Pensick, Thad Randle, and Ankrah. Ankrah has all the tools to be an absolute beast, and Thad was 1st team all Texas (with Burkhead), over the likes of the next coming of Warren Sapp, Jamarkus McFarland. Pensick could surprise, and will have the Nebraska work ethic. LB's very good (esp. if you count last years class; from what I've heard, Alonzo Whaley, 2* and probably least decorated recruit, has garnered the most attention). Chris Williams should be a stud (5A Def. Player of Yr. in TX as Junior), can't really place Bodtmann but he should be good. Secondary is focal point of this year's class... Bo is targeting big, fast athletes that he can coach up just like he did to this year's guys. Sky's the limit IMO. Martinez is said to be an absolute playmaker and has garnered many awards this year (best player in CA...!). Would love for Dijon Washington to make it but he's iffy from the world on the street. Hope to finish with probably Eric Martin and Bennie Logan. Possibly Lester White as a Washington replacement, but he seems headed to UCLA.
  21. I think defensively the game ball should go to Suh or Steiny. They both made Clemson's O line look stupid. Although if you ask the announcers, I think they'd give the game ball to Clemson's Bowers. They definitely loved that kid... they were so biased it made me sick. I think the defensive play of the game, though, goes to Hagg for that amazing EFFORT sack on Harper on 2nd and goal. G R E A T P L A Y.
  22. I personally love Omigie... I just dk much about him. That kind of size is coveted, though... I love big receivers... let's just hope if we get him he doesn't turn into another Will Henry. Big receiver whose failed to make an impact thus far. Omigie's plot, with the waiting for playing time, reminds me of Lazarri Middleton's... had to wait til senior season to play, then flashes some serious talent.
  23. How likely is ankrah to make grades? I have heard he is in hot water with the situation, and I have heard he is probably fine and will get in with a decent test score. Which is it? Anybody got any insight?
  24. Too bad if he never makes it out to see us... I think this guy is pegged as the primary back up plan to washington if dijon can't make grades. Some circles believe white is a freak and would be the steal of the class. I honestly don't know where we go if washington doesn't make it and white heads to UCLA... but we'll have enough safeties to get by.
  25. I heard Middleton particularly got burnt bad a couple times... any truth to this?
