  1. The Sun Bowl sure looks like a dump these days.

  2. I'm enjoying some of these low-tier bowls, if nothing else to see them attempt to play football in baseball stadiums that don't normally have football, like Pac Bell or Yankee Stadium.

  3. Congrats to Wisc-Whitewater, alma mater of my younger sister and also one Shawn Eichorst, on 5th D-III title in 7 years.

Congrats to Wisc-Whitewater! NDSU is on their way to a 3-peat as well.

I am sure I will see them next year. Go Purple Raiders.

  4. Michigan didn't want a Jan. 1 bowl because it would conflict with the Winter Classic. A lot of Michigan fans were complaining about this possibility. I wonder if they lobbied for the BWW bowl for that reason.

  5. The Packers are giving me ulcers.

  6. Well, I'm sick after watching that. Can't help but wonder what happens if we don't turn the ball over five times in our own territory.

The better team didn't cough up the ball 5 times at home. So there's that.

    3. Foppa

      Foppa

The 'better team' doesn't commit a ton of turnovers and lose the game. Simple as that.

    4. Foppa

      Foppa

NUpolo8 basically beat me to it. But even though he won, I said it best so I was the better poster ;)

  7. Enjoying this awesome 7 degree weather. With a massive head cold. Good times.

Low 60s here in Ohio. Of course your weather is suppose to arrive here just in time for the weekend.

mid 60s in central Illinois. Sposed to be about 30 degrees colder tomorrow.

It was 56 degrees at noon yesterday, and 11 at midnight. Have fun when you get it.

  8. The Chiefs don't impress me at all. Not a Denver fan by any stretch, just my thoughts.

      You'll bitch when you're 2-14 and you'll bitch when your 9-2. Sad....

They really aren't that bad. These are two very good teams. Very good game so far and thanks to Manning, my fantasy team is in the playoffs!

They're a good team. Denver is just a better team. Considering their record and performance over the last seasons, they're actually f'ing amazing this year.

  9. Get in line behind all the others, Tide. No cuts, no buts, no coconuts.

  10. Could not have happened in better fashion, to a better victim. Suck on it Saban.

  11. F**k Alabama. Seriously. F**k them to hell for eternity. Sucked all the enjoyment out of college football for me.

I think Saban sold his soul to the devil. Only explanation. 99 yard TD pass. /shakes head.

Now I have to root for Free Shoes or Missouri. What do I do to spite ye football Gods?

      Or not.... LOL.... awesome.

  12. Damned if we do. Damned if we don't. What the hell is our next move?

Only one of those has been proven. It is clear it is time for a change.

I think he's become untenable.... not necessarily because of the football, but because of the circus. Sean Callahan was right - his tenure was always going to end ugly when it did.

I'm currently storming Black Dolphin prison in Russia, wish me luck. I'm not sure why, but it's a process. I'm hoping to execute. It's about passion. I'm going to do things my way.

  13. I guess I could go on a rant, but there's really no point. Everything's completely out of our hands. I'm just gonna sit back and watch, and think about better days.

  14. Who knew the 1982 officiating crew was still around? Good thing the officials don't kick field goals.

Replayed it frame by frame. Nobody moved, and Price was the last lineman to move.

Two AWFUL calls. And coming from Penn State, a school famous for overlooking even serious infractions. /facepalm

  15. 57 FBS schools have had at least one 11 win season since 2001. Nebraska is not one of them. Yikes.

    1. TheSker

      TheSker

And isn't Pelini the only one who has won 10 games during that time (3 times)? We won 10 in 2003, but Solich won 9 of them with Pelini winning the 10th.

    2. NUance

Those two stats seem to fly in the face of each other. Quite odd indeed.

  16. 8 turnovers, 2 losses. Not a good weekend.

  17. Whoever is coach going forward, where that's Bo or not Bo, just promise me that you will emphasize fundamentals and discipline. I miss the days when Nebraska did both soundly.

  18. This coaching staff has just completely ignored special teams. Not just this year, either. Several years.

    1. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

Obvious assessment. But I wouldnt say special teams as a whole. Mainly punt returns.

    2. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

I just dont understand the anomoly of punt returns for this team over the last few years. It's extremely head scratching.

    3. CheeseHusker

      CheeseHusker

Punt returns, punt coverage, kick returns. The returner is almost always left isolated which is why they keep crapping their pants and taking their eyes off the ball. We don't try to block punts, either. In a game where your offense turns the ball over five freaking times, I'd like to see more aggression.

  19. Quarterback is the least of the Packers problems right now.

    1. zoogs

      zoogs

Hm, really? I would imagine having Scott Tolzien instead of Aaron Rodgers might be one of their biggest problems.

  20. So... do we call Brett tomorrow? LOL.

He's been looking great throwing in his Wranglers. Still has the foremarms of a blacksmith.

  21. I hate having to cheer for Seneca Wallace. I really f-ing hate it. Especially since as a Packer, he sucks.

    1. redout22

      redout22

      he throws like uncle rico

  22. The winner of this Cowboys-Vikings game will be the team that isn't the last one to screw up.
