I think this is a safe guess for next year. Teams that will be better: OSU, Wisconsin, Illinois, Nebraska Teams that will be worse: Iowa, Maryland and Purdue Teams that will be about the same: MSU, Indiana (This one could be tricky, they lose a lot but they have some studs), Minny, Rutgers, NW, PSU, Michigan Now...the teams that will be "better" might not be greatly improved but they should be better...the teams that will be worse might just be a bit worse...

Getting better recruits doesn't mean anything when they are all basically 6-8 and play the same position. No center. and no true shooting guard. Not going to get far with a 5-9 PG and 15 small forwards playing out of their natural position most of the time If you are going to go that route...you need to play like West Virginia...where they mug you up and down the court all game and play a nasty zone...it can work...you just have to know what you are doing. A team of 6'8 (which really means 6'6) wings that are not pressing and not playing physical is bad news.

Even the terrible announcers who couldn't correctly name who even had the ball half of the time could see how lethargic the team was until about the last 12:00 of the game. They are college kids on a bad team, they know it and are going through the motions just to get the season over with. If they won one of the OT games or didn't blow the game @PSU, then they probably come out and play a lot harder since they would still have something to play for. But to avoid Rutgers and and bye is meh when you realize that you will likely be overmanned once again in the next round anyway and your season is going to be over. I think there is a lot of truth to this...it is not so much "quitting" as it is feeling like you just won't/can't catch a break and you start going through the motions. Had that been a back and forth game...2-3 points all game...it would have been different. But when you cut it to 6 only to have it go back to 11...you start to lose it a bit.

To answer your question: if you are saying the team will be better - that depends on who they loss as seniors if you are saying will the freshman get better - then YES However, Do all teams in the Big Ten have as many freshman in key spots as NU. Maybe...and they have sophs/juniors too...

Oh...I completely agree that things feel right now and I'm pumped about next year. Just not sure how someone knows if the previous staff did anything like this. This staff has opened up the world to the fans and it's awesome. But, just because the previous staff was more closed to the public doesn't mean nothing like this happened before.
