  1. It is funny how the WR coach looks and sounds like a Freshman, but it's easy to see why Rhule likes him.
  2. Yeah I thought Spence was saved by the bell in the 2nd round.
  3. Trev, if you're not working frantically to get a Bud Crawford fight in Memorial stadium, what are you even doing?

    1. MLB 51

      MLB 51

That would be a nice place for his first unified title defense.

  4. It's among the best performances I've ever seen in my lifetime. Arguably the best. Absolute masterclass. What's left for Crawford? 40 fights into his career it seems like he's beaten anyone that could conceivably challenge him, and he's never really been challenged. Nobody has been close to his level. Ennis? Charlo?? He'd make those guys look mediocre too.
  5. So Bud is easily the pound-for-pound king and first ballot hall of famer at this point, right?

  6. Drinking booze was my basically my personality from 16-22yo. But now? I'm a man. I'm 40. I just don't see the appeal. Do coke like an adult.
  7. This is like when Dave Mustaine got booted from Metallica before they even recorded their first album. 20-30 years from now he'll be in a Texas bar still reliving his glory days at Nebraska, rattling on about how he's the one who laid the groundwork for all those championship teams.
  8. Maybe giving this much power to butthurt morons isn't a good way to arrange a society afterall.
  9. Wonder if he had more pukes than Frost? Anyone else kinda get Mike Leach witch hunt vibes from all these?
  10. What was kind of lost in all that close game business is many of those games shouldn't have been close in the first place, based on team talent. We shouldn't be playing teams like Georgia Southern and Northwestern close on a regular basis.
  11. "I know you're not qualified for this job, and we have differences of opinion on how you should do it. That's why I'm hiring you for this job".
  12. Maybe the Wish version. Saban was better in both college and the NFL.
  13. Rhule was given control of the roster decisions in Carolina so that whole debacle was kind of his fault. Now, that doesn't mean he can't run a college football program, it just means he can't run an NFL franchise.
  14. Plus it was figured out in about 2 quarters when Chip Kelly tried taking it to the NFL, and nobody has been intimidated by it since.
  15. Has anyone been intimidated by that gimmick since like 2011?
  16. I think 6+ wins could get some momentum going for the program. The perception would be Nebraska is a program on the rise, and that would only help in recruiting.
  17. Amazing. What a run! It's almost like all the triple-doubles get taken for granted because he makes it look so easy.
  18. I think there’s a gigantic and obvious difference in how the two guys conducted themselves on the job, and the comparison has no merit at all. Just based on "saying the right things", Frost would nervously stammer while struggling to string together a coherent sentence. Rhule is a confident, fast-talkin' son of a preacher man. Not saying that translates to wins, but how both guys carry themselves couldn't be more different.
  19. I don't remember Frost saying the right things as much as he just trash-talked the previous coaching staff. I haven't noticed Rhule doing much of that.
  20. Frost did good enough to stay employed for 5 years. Slightly better has to be worth at least 10. A 10 year run is mighy successful.
  21. He'll succeed because the definition of success has changed dramatically over the years for Husker Football. The only way he fails is if he's worse than Frost. Which seems impossible, but nothing would surprise me anymore.
  22. In the end it turned out Frost was just an extremely neglectful football coach, and it wasn't anybody fault but his own.
