Pretty much only the last year. That '09 defense did no bending and no breaking. '09 actually did a lot of bending as I recall, just a lot less breaking. The Oklahoma game is a prime example. The D played a ridiculous amount of snaps that game, and gave up hardly any points.

The thought of being dead doesn't really scare me. The process of dying seems a little unsettling. I just hope it's quick and painless however I go.

Amen. I have zero worries about anyone in the Big Ten passing against us. They had damned well better be able to run the ball or they will be three-and-out over and over and over and over. Between Fonzie, Evans, Washington and Green we will be just fine at CB, and with Cassidy, Smith, Osborne and (possibly) Stafford our Safeties will be more than up to the task. Our secondary will instantly be the best or second-best in the Big Ten (Ohio State being the possible exception). No hope for Corey Cooper?

None of that makes Tom Osborne a Big Ten Icon. He's just not. But I do like that they're being such groovy hosts, and would bend over backwards and do something so nonsensical just to welcome us. Pretty rad.

I remember Michigan State going 7-1 in the Big Ten last year. Are they really that much better than we are? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. 6-2 isn't exatly being overly optimistic as far as I'm concerned. We'll have to be downright lousy to get 4 losses or worse. While our offense will have some growing pains, our defense will be more than capable to keep us in any game.
