Bill Snyder and even though Frank Solich has never opposed us, he is with another program, but I respect the things he did with us and with Ohio. Two very good coaches. Jimmy Johnson was pretty darn good too. I respect Luke Fickell for not punching Bo when Bo kissed him on the neck .

Personally, I don't want to play Wisconsin or OSU again. That OSU QB is getting better and better and he already had our ass in a sling the first time til' he got hurt. Wisconsin is just plain a better team than we are right now. Nebraska is definitely a better team than we were the first time we played both of these guys. Both games would be good games, but I could easily see them going wrong for us.

Beck is a damn good one. I only wish we had not waited so long to drop Watson's ass on his head and move on. Beck would have won us some conference championships, and maybe even a national title with the kind of defense we were playing the last few years. No more crying in that spilled milk though, atleast that f'ing' idiot is gone. Beck is one hell of a coach.

The wave is hilarious and fun. It's a good way to get some people off their butts and get them involved. Some involvement is better than no involvement. Trust me, I see plenty of people at the games showing no signs of caring. I often wonder why the hell they are even there. My daughter loves doing the wave and laughs her butt off every time that thing goes around and back to us. Anything that makes her smile is great in my book.

I can't see how that article was offensive in any way. I read it simply as discussing the Blackshirts history and tradition and the various ways different coaches handled it. There's no harm in that. I think we gave this Dirk and Bo thing way too much attention the first time around, let's not do it again. Both of these men are going to do their jobs the way they see fit. They are grown men, they make choices and live with the consequences, but making this story out to be some sort of attack on Bo is just not reality. As far as the Blackshirts go, I value the opinion of the former players and can understand if some of them find it upsetting that Bo has changed the tradition a bit. It is their right to have an opinion on the matter and far more their right than any of ours. They played for Nebraska, they wore the Blackshirts, they've been there and done it. None of you have. If they want to express themselves so be it. I have a feeling that no matter what anyone says or thinks of it, Bo will continue to do it his way. You kind of get that feeling with Bo don't you? 19 does seem like a pretty large number of Blackshirts to be handed out but I'm sure the guys have earned it. Whether it's in a game or in practice these guys work hard. It doesn't matter who has one now, all that matters is that if you have one of those Blackshirts on, then you better f'ing' bring it everday. You better back it up and never back down. If you practice like a bitch, or play like a bitch, your disgracing the guys who came before you. And none of those guys were bitches.

Tom Osborne is the man! We are a great fit in the B1G. Not only that, he had the foresight to make this move before we got dragged through all this conference realignment crap with the Big XII. I mean, what an absolute joke that conference has become.

I don't think we get the respect we deserve at all. This is mainly based on the lack of respect Espn gives us. Espn has grown so big they dominate the sports media industry and whatever they say goes. USC, Alabama, LSU (and the "Mad Hatter") and whoever else they decide to jump on at any given time will get all their attention. What's sad is that a majority of individual local media will fall right in line with Espn. Nebraska will get back on the map. Maybe even this year. These BCS rankings could play out very interesting toward the end of the season. There's no doubt though, the mainstream media seems to forget even mentioning our names when talking about the elite programs in the country.

Very good video. It amazes me what camera's are capable of as to the quality of video and the way you can slow things down frame by frame the way they do. It almost doesn't look real. I have a Nikon D7000 I got recently and I tell you I am still trying to figure out all the capabilities of that thing.

Who should start? I though Josh Williams or Martin look the strongest out there with a bit of an edge to Williams.

I realize this thread isn't particularly about that ......but I needed to vent about Boise St. and their crybaby pissant manipulation of the sadass system that is the BCS.

I'm so sick of Boise St. getting any credit. Play in a real conference and suffer the injuries and beatings that a team in the SEC, Big 10, or Pac 12 would take on a weekly basis, then talk to the country about how you deserve a shot at the title. Yes, I saw the Oklahoma game and yes Boise won it years ago. It was a great game, but I assure you Boise went into that game a lot healthier than Oklahoma. As far as I am concerned Boise doesn't belong in any conversations. They've played this BCS system like a f'ing' fiddle for too damn long. Stop claiming to be great but refusing to join a great conference! Your a joke til' you do.

I never heard that he couldn't coach here. I was under the impression that he really liked his position as Oregon and did not see himself leaving it for a job at Nebraska in the near future. He certainly never ruled it out either. I've lived in Oregon when I was a teenager. I have to say, I don't blame him for not wanting to leave. Beautiful piece of this country. Beck's doing a hell of a job anyway.

Good catch on this one. I didn't even notice that til' watching the DVR and looking for it. Exactly right though, he did hand off lefty. Caputo and Hardrick were a bit dinged up in the game too. Any words on that?

Espn hates Nebraska and loves USC. I really try to listen to Espn analysts as little as possible. I thought the fact that College Gameday was in SoCal for USC and Stanford game was a clear showing of that "hollywood" west coast bias they show. Considering USC has all kinds of sanctions and bans from bowl games or NC's I don't think they should be rewarded for their complete lack of discipline. The worst part is, I thought they should have been in either Lincoln or Manhattan. Turns out USC and Stanford goes to triple overtime for a spectacular game, and Kansas State gets their ass exposed as the red headed stepchild they always have been. Now Espn is really patting themselves on the back for that decision.

It's about lining up and doing what you do and doing what you do better than you allow them to do what they do. It's football. Don't overcomplicate it.

Statistically Rex is the 18th ranked back in the country. He's definitely this teams MVP. When he didn't get up in the game yesterday I was holding my breath a bit. I did feel like we could have spread the carries around a bit more but the way Abdullah was fumbling the ball every time he touched it I could see why the coaches may not have wanted to involve him. Next year could be a great year for Rex, but I could see his stats being down a bit again because we will surely be distributing the carries even more between Green, Abdullah and Heard.
