  1. I wish him well in his move. He's got the athletic ability. Will he be able to tackle?
  2. none of them are Davie isn't happy, Baptiste isn't happy, Bell and Stafford aren't happy. But you know what, all those guys seem to be upbeat and ready to move on. and that is a good thing. If i were a kid being coached by Raymond, i would feel like he slapped me in the back of the head and ran away. Good news is, there is a lot of the former Husker talent that are probably chomping at the bit to get into Bo Pelini's ear and tell him why they should be the next secondary coach. Eric Warfield, Mike Minter, heck 6th year DC of the Omaha Beef Tony Veland might give UNL a call. Yeah, i got that too. A guy like Antonio Bell should be happy because he might sort of get a fresh start.
  3. If Fisher starts next year I'll eat my hat He might. He could be this year's version of Thorellford. The thought makes me sick to my stomach I think you're being a little hard on Fisher, who is still recovering from a gruesome leg injury. If he returns to full speed, we could start three senior linebackers; I think that kind of experience would be very valuable. Behind those seniors, "The competition will include other names, such as Trevor Roach, Max Pirman, Graham Stoddard and redshirt freshman David Santos, the touted recruit from the 2011 class that Els said came a long way last season as a redshirt," according to Husker Extra. Add in Anderson, and that kind of depth would allow the three true freshmen to redshirt and compete for starting spots in 2013. Hey, I hope Fisher has a great season. He seems like a good kid and I have nothing against him. I just said I could see him starting only because of experience and then he routinely gets burned. I saw that enough last year to last about 5 seasons.

  5. I think Mike Marrow can be pretty valuable as a FB but the guy is huge and I can't imagine he has the speed or quickness to be an every down guy. I don't think any one guy takes over the carries even next year. I think they will go back to what we've seen in the past where multiple guys play certain roles. Rex is pretty special in that he does everything well.
  6. I expect ZA to start right away. I just hope people give him a break when comparing him to Lavonte. Lavonte was a great find, a really great find, and guys like him don't just come along every couple of years. I think he will be good but I dont expect him to be as good as Lavonte was right away. Compton will start at one spot and I think the other spot is Whaley's to lose. It's hard to talk about the other guys because we haven't really seen them. Fisher will probably go down as the defensive Matt Herian for me. A guy who showed promise but never really got back to where he was before the injury. My hope is that he can be a solid special teams contributor.
  7. Where did Big Red go? Up where?
  8. don't forget Marrow...they are utilizing him as a RB/FB....lil bit of both I believe. Aaaaaaand from sources "in the know" that are right most of the time....they are stating he is moving tTo DB. Corey Cooper (S/DB) is moving to LB as well. For spring ball at least. Evans will probably work out at safety too. AA will also take a few reps at DB just like he did last October. Evans at safety? He's tiny! As for Heard, we'll see how this plays out. SJB had a breakout game after his move to CB and then we never saw him again. I think SJB hurt his knee in practice after the OSU game and that's why he didn't play much the rest of the year. I think he was right in front of Jeffrey on the hail mary play.
  9. don't you mean 180. 280 is really pushing it. that is suffocation material.
  10. So you stuck around thru the dark ages (the Callahan years) and now you want to quit? Whatever dude, do what you want I personally do not have a problem with Bo and his temper. I've played for guys like that and really it was no problem. That said, I do think he needs to tone it down for three reasons.... 1. Recruiting - There is no way his temper does not hurt recruiting. I don't know if the kids think much about it but parents see that stuff and they go crazy. 2. I don't know what to call this one, but it seems like whenever Bo loses it, the kids do too. They are just kids and I think they need a steadier hand - someone to tell them to keep going when things start to fall apart. 3. The refs - No way can you tell me the refs don't make calls against because Bo pisses them off. It happens a lot. The phantom PI call on Green or Evans in the second half of the bowl game is a perfect example.
  11. that's a sick move by WR #11 at about the 3:40 mark
  12. Looks like quality walk-on material to me. He's definitely got some speed. Not sure how quick he is off the ball but I would think you could get him a little stronger and make him a solid DE or maybe even a TE. For as big and as fast as he appears to be, I would think he could at least be a decent coverage team guy.
  13. he looks like Jafar in his Rivals pic
  14. I am concerned. I wonder how much of it is the kids and how much is the parents? I just wonder if Bo's reputation as a hothead isn't starting to take its toll on recruiting. Nebraska is Nebraska but it shouldn't be this hard to pull in good kids when there are lots of opportunities for playing time at quite a few positions. I like Bo but I can see it being real easy to recruit against us.
  15. The mother ship (ESPN) is clearly biased in favor of the SEC so yes
  16. If he was doing that why didnt Suh just decide the next play he was just going to beat the hell out of this guy during the play. I don't know that's what I would have done.
  17. ^ I think i saw this guy on the people of walmart website
  18. Don't forget the lifetime supply of french fries you get for playin the Tater Bowl
