    Co worker says "if Mayans were so smart on predicting things, why arent they still around?" They didnt predict anything. They made a calender. Is the guy that made the calender for 1904 still alive?

      It's because their calender doesn't "end" it resets itself. Some of Mayans that are around today say that it's a time to celebrate a new beginning.
