  1. Watched the play, and the comparisons to what Haynesworth and Suh are completely out of wack. Haynesworth deliberately stomped a person twice, Suh's was a frustration kick that barely contacted to Green Bay player. Completely out of line yes, but nowhere near as bad as what Haynesworth did. It's being blown up to the point of Haynesworth, and Suh is definitely not helping with his comments. I foresee a suspension, but people calling for the rest of the year are reactionary. My guess is it's going to be 3 games tops.
  2. Read the piece, and while he did say some truths, he did it in a mocking way, especially at Taylor's expense.
  3. We're trying to reel in some big fish so that can easily change. Plus the fact that Jackson is going to be counted towards this years class, though I don't know if he's being rated again. I'm not worried.
  4. Overall I'm apathetic, we got down 24-10 right after half after that fumble and things just snowballed. We were still in the game, get a stop, and then the refs give them a first down on the Roughing the Kicker penalty. Things just fell apart from there because we couldn't get off the field after that. Overall team loss against a team that came ready and fired up to play. Michigan played like they were on a mission and it showed.
  5. I'd understand if our player completely took out the plant leg, but his fingertips brushed his foot. No way in hell is that roughing, absolutely no way.
  6. I'd rather have him protected because I don't like our chances without him.
  7. Arkansas has done nothing these past few weeks, and the OSU win is looking all the better (though the Wisconsin loss is looking even worse), my guess is right at 9 or 10. And truthfully I think that's right where we belong.
  8. What happened on the Reed throw with the Db and Enunwa was that Enunwa was running a cross and he and the db banged shins. Kyler probably tweeked his hamstring though. Oh and Ameer is doing a little prayer when he points to the sky. I learned that the defense has a chance to living up to the hype of the preseason. DBs were stifling, Compton played his best game, David was David, and the D-Line was able to apply pressure consistently on passing downs. If we play like this the rest of the year on offense and defense, we go to the B1G Championship game. Also the fact that we were able to put up over 100 yards rushing in the 4Q on OSU when Wisconsin was just held to 89 for the total game brings a smile to my face. As long as we don't shoot ourselves in the foot, we will be able to score on any defense in the Big Ten.
  9. Evans played decent too until he got hurt. Overall I'd say that this is the defense we were expecting at the beginning of the year. They've got their experience now and in addition to Pelini calling one defensive play for 80% of the game allowed them to just go out and play.
  10. I would have liked to see Carnes in because it looked like Martinez hurt his hand. Look at the fourth quarter and I don't think he handed the ball off with his right hand at all.
  11. Crazy stat from Gameday: Stanford has won their last 10 games by 25+ points. A little skewed as they haven't played a team with a winning record outside of UW, but still impressive.

  12. Heard that what they do is take a topic that has two opposing viewpoints and then make a case for each. Rittenburg has said during one of his weakly chats that he thinks Ball is a better RB, but I think in that same breath that Burkhead was a close 2. Don't need to get all in a twist for someone stating their opinions, even if they present a weak argument. And really, I think the worst part of the argument was him pointing out that Ball was a better all-around back and bringing up the fact that he passed for a TD this past week.
  13. Easterbrook is a decent writer, even though he's kind of gotten a little strawman in the last few years, but he did bring up a great point in last weeks TMQ. He pretty much had a simple message, it doesn't matter what the score is at half or even after the third quarter, as long as you're ahead at the end of the fourth. A wins a win and I have a feeling that this is going to be a win that catapults us to the B1G Championship game. Sure Miller went down, but they were hurting us the most with running up the middle, just like every other team we've played this year. Our defense allowed us to come back tonight, and it was an amazing 2nd half by both Martinez, Burkhead, and the O-line that finished it.
  14. Biggest problem with the defense this year, when players are in position to make a play in the backfield they aren't getting it done. Can't count how many times we've had a QB dead to rights and he's escaped to only either throw it away, make a play with his feet, or hit a receiver. It's happened all year, and now that I'm watching the game from the start hopefully I'll see something different in the final 20 minutes.
  15. Score would've looked a lot better if we hadn't extended their last drive with two penalties on 3rd down. Didn't see the holding, but Osbourne's penalty was absolutely stupid and may be why he's not playing as much this year. What I really want to see though is a reopened position battle on the defensive side. Linebacker needs an upgrade outside of David, Secondary needs an upgrade outside of Dennard. I don't want to second guess the coaches, but what was the exact reason to having Cooper start last week and then have him not even play this week? Where is the rest of our depth in the secondary? Is it because the players don't know enough of the defense that they aren't playing? At some point you just have to play the best players because the people playing aren't getting the job done.
  16. I don't think it's wrong to question the officiating, but to say it had anything to do with the loss would definitely be wrong. Saw a couple of holds that they should've called, but we lost with a combination of shooting ourselves in the foot with play calling and being beaten by a better team.
  17. And to think of how many people were outraged about the Beat Texas campaign last year and the shirts that were sold (heard something like Tuck Fexas and so). I understand that we are really classy fans and all, but why can't we have some good natured ribbing (though Tuck Fexas is pushing it)? That's not even the worst shirt that I've seen Wisconsin put out this week (though I can't find the other one).
  18. If we were ever going to do Black, it'd be better to look exactly like our uniforms now, except Black where the Red is with Red Stripes that are thinly outlined in white to make them stand out (red inside black is sometimes hard to see).
  19. Except Red=bad in this case. The light blue is the ABC coverage area.
  20. Ciante got worked today, Green looked like he did ok. Very quiet, didn't here his name much/at all which is a good thing.
  21. One thing that's known is that Cassidy is very knowledgeable of the defense. I'm still watching the game, but I've barely noticed Cassidy.
  22. It's the way they were going at it. Immediately announcing our offense wasn't better than last year and wouldn't be any better, specifically the O-Line. Felt like they were giving up on the season after 1 game and preparing for next season. Too much pessimism for a game that a number of people could see was being used as a practice, which was immediately confirmed in the after game presser.
  23. I see it has Raymond preparing the DBs more for the next level. I see that as a good thing.
  24. Very basic, but it looks nice. I don't see any problem with it.
