  1. Ciante got worked today, Green looked like he did ok. Very quiet, didn't here his name much/at all which is a good thing.
  2. One thing that's known is that Cassidy is very knowledgeable of the defense. I'm still watching the game, but I've barely noticed Cassidy.
  3. It's the way they were going at it. Immediately announcing our offense wasn't better than last year and wouldn't be any better, specifically the O-Line. Felt like they were giving up on the season after 1 game and preparing for next season. Too much pessimism for a game that a number of people could see was being used as a practice, which was immediately confirmed in the after game presser.
  4. I see it has Raymond preparing the DBs more for the next level. I see that as a good thing.
  5. Very basic, but it looks nice. I don't see any problem with it.
  6. Is Charter going to have regional games on their main channel (whichever game/games are on BTN that week) and then if you're not in the footprint the rest of the games are going to be on overflow? So if I live in Nebraska, am I at risk at missing any of Nebraska's games because they won't be on TV? Obviously there is the online options, but I'd prefer to watch it on my shiny TV.
  7. I don't have internet access until tomorrow, and then I'm working nights through the weekend. My next game is A&M, and I can play a game starting after 10:30 PM Central time. If it comes down to it, I'm fine if you decide to just sim the game.
  8. Yeah, Martinez looked like he was going to have a big day passing (100+ yards in the first quarter) and then he was injured and the only thing we had going was Helu and his big runs. Though it was because he was hurt that Helu was able to run for 307 yards.
  9. Or it could be the changes aren't as big as they're made out to be. From what I've read it's mostly about using their athleticism in guarding receivers and not relying so much on jamming (which you saw a whole lot last year, even 5-10 yards down the field) and away from putting their hands on the receiver. It's probably not going away, but Raymond wants them to focus on excelling and if they're going to penalized for putting their hands on receivers (more often than in the Big XII), then they need to know how to play without that contact. I for one do not think Raymond is undermining Pelini's authority in the way that you're suggesting. Or it could be that Pelini has gotten better as an administrator and is just letting his coaches coach.
  10. The 5-3 record just kills any interest I had with this. Maybe if you flipped us with Iowa (who went 7-1 in the Big Ten), then I'd understand. But three losses in a year where the team just absolutely demolished Peyton Manning and a good-great Tennessee team? Not buying it.
  11. The 1 yard run is probably going to be the Bush Push. Everyone should know it, and if you think it's going to be a different one than you're delusional. (Two of the most talked about programs on ESPN in the last significant game the two teams have played in in the last 20 years, it's in in however long the play was) Which team has the most TDs right now on the list? Nebraska has 4(?), anyone beating them right now?
  12. DLU's been having a hard time with getting a signal. If things don't pick up after August 5th then I'd say it's looking dead. Also has anyone else been having a problem where you throw a pass, either deep or to a receiver on a crossing route, they are wide freaking open and don't even attempt to catch the ball? They just keep running like they didn't have a pass thrown to them? It's cost me 2 games now in my Road to Glory and it's seriously annoying as all hell.
  13. Two sides of the same man Very interesting. If this has even a kernal of truth (which I don't believe Pelini would say unless there was), then the A&M game was given to A&M by the refs (I'm talking about the roughing call on Osbourne that set up their last field goal). Not that we helped things out but when you have announcers laugh at a call, then you have a problem.
  14. I like it because while it surrounds the football game it's going to be about more things too.
  15. Extremely frustrating game against UCONN today, was actually doing ok until they pulled off a miracle interception (you know those ones where you think it's going to fall incomplete, but then all of a sudden it's in the D's hands). After that it was just one frustrating thing after another because of the Home Field advantage/momentum. Dropped Passes, pass break ups, interceptions (though I will admit I did make bad throws on one or two). Final Score was 27-21, with me being intercepted at the goal line with under 10 seconds left causing me to spike my controller. Needless to say I'm out a controller. Also sorry DLU, but I lost my connection and wasn't able to get it back so I had to abandon the result (almost happened with my first game against the CPU too). I'll try playing it again tonight after I cool down.
  16. Try it again fuzzy or just go to OWH website. It's a great article, definitely like the insights about Abdullah and Green and how Beck said that all three of them are fast. Definitely looking forward to the season to start.
  17. I'm betting it's going to be a lot of the same things we did last year with plays that get our big play guys out in space (Turner, Bell, and the Freshman Trio for sure right now). I bet we see a number of bubble screens and jet sweeps.
  18. The defense recognizes where a pass is being thrown too quickly. Playing as a QB in RTG today and I passed to a receiver running either a slant or a cross or something like that. The MLB was moving away from where I was throwing when I first threw, was able to stop on a dime, and then deflect the pass. That's what I think the biggest problem with this game is.
  19. I've mostly found that you can't go deep over the middle with any kind of post route because if you do it's going to get picked off or deflected. Also just in playing the game I've found about 50% of my incompletions come from dropped passes. Some are understandable, the receiver getting lit up and such, but some it seems like the littlest taps make them drop the ball. Didn't play NCAA '11 at all, but I put a ton of time into Madden '11 and I had absolutely none of the problems that I'm having with this game (outside of the dropped balls, but I worked my way around it in Madden).

  21. I'll go with TTech since I see that Boise isn't a selection. Just had a thought, my account is whateveritis12, the w isn't capitalized, sorry.
  22. Think Marrow can play this year because he didn't enroll at the Michigan school he left to come here.
