  1. Similar to the defense, the offense was also pretty vanilla. Don't get too caught up in the spring game, the offense for actual games will look much different. Situationally yes. Make no mistake though. Nebraska is going to be a pro stye/passing emphasized team going forward. I know we'll still incorporate a running game obviously. Interesting stat. Nebraska threw the ball 95 times yesterday. They ran the ball 40 times. It was also a practice. Also, Gebbia was 28-45 for 268 yards.
  2. The gap between Lee and POB is not wide. And Gebbia has obvious deficiencies that a redshirt year will help to shore up.
  3. *Nerd Alert* You're talking about Luke being a Grey Jedi; a Jedi who is Light-focused, but will dabble with Dark tendencies, without allowing the Dark side to overcome them. It's a true balance to the force, rather than having more Jedi than Sith or visa versa. Hell, we've already seen Luke use the Dark Side before.
  4. That's a good trailer. Not as good as the Thor one from Monday, but still good.
  5. So because he's a doctor he's more important than anybody else on that plane? Lol
  6. I'll just say this one more time: Miles has the worst winning percentage of all Nebraska basketball coaches dating back to Jerry Bush, who coached from 1954-1963.
  7. Who recruited the players that are transferring?
  8. Still plenty of talent on roster ....where?

It's actually his fault we lost on Saturday though. Miles missed a sign and Banker forgot to tell a bullpen pitcher to get loose.

  10. Yet, some posters are blatantly rooting for us to fail. By hoping that a kid that couldn't cut it at Winthrop comes here to "take up minutes, play defense and rebound".
  11. Were you drunk from '05 to '08? Were you not? I was in college during the time, so more often than not, yes!
  12. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Is that our ultimate goal? For Miles to be a .500 coach? .....yes? Preferably over .500, but baby steps.
  13. Because Oregon is a better job? I don't know why no one on this board can't give a straight up answer on why, when Altman wanted the Neb job they turned him down. Oregon was not a better job at the time he was hired there. Altman made it a better job. Big mistake by Neb. Great hire for OR. GBR!!! Um, no. Oregon was a MUCH better job than Nebraska. They made an Elite 8 in 2007 for example.

  15. You're severely overestimating the impact that this quaint little message board can have.
  16. I have no idea why Miles isn't jumping on the New Mexico job.

He's been contacted - there is a big difference between interviewed and contacted.

      Maybe he hasn't been offered.

    4. NUance

      NUance

He has unfinished business at NU.

  17. I don't actually see why Miles wouldn't take this job. It's a better gig than Nebraska, and he'd get at least 5 more years of security.
  18. Gotta have students in the student section in order to do cool things in the student section.
  19. Lose what is clearly your best scorer and still make it to the NIT and have a winning record? With all the youth on the team I personally would have been optimistic Wow, really? Yes, really I meant to add more to that, sorry. I'm just in disbelief that 4 wins would've completely changed everyone's tune much. I mean, If Webster's jumper against Clemson falls, If Watson doesn't slip against Ohio State, If we grab a board against Rutgers, if Morrow can make a free-throw against Wisconsin.... There is your 16-15 record. You're telling me the pitchforks would be gone? I don't buy it. Maybe in your case, but this board would still be on fire as a whole. It would only be Miles' 2nd winning season in his tenure here, coming off of a 16-18 season. So yes, it would be positive progress.
  20. I'm not exactly dismissing him, I'm saying for us to compete at a high level, he would be a back-up post player. Not our best player. So, maybe that is why we went 12-18. I went and looked at his game-logs, and he had some really nice games against high level competition (or teams that made the NCAA tournament), then he completely didn't show up in the stat sheet against some sub-par opponents that we ended up losing to. Do I wish he was staying? Yes. Do I think we are lost without him? Absolutely not. How many games did we win when he wasn't playing last year? Beat Purdue, does that count? so 1?
