Wow bummer. Still remember him announcing for this really old, really strange video game Wacky Jacks back in the day for the ole Macintosh. Great set of pipes on that guy.

  3. I think he's a decent guy but after seven years I've easily come to the conclusion that he seems in over his head in terms of being a head coach. As I've said before though I don't think Eichorst has the cojones to fire him unless basically the fan base is crying for him to do so. Until then I don't see NU progressing.
  4. Bears pick up Santonio Holmes. I like this pick up. Defense is where they desperately need to improve, more precisely run defense but their entire D line is revamped and should be better this season which is huge. They picked up Jared Allen who will help put pressure on opposing QB's and I really like the addition of Lamarr Houston. Stephen Paea is apparently stronger after a lot of off season work so he has the potential to have a break out year in 2014. The Bears linebackers who were often in the wrong place and out of their gaps last year playing a role in the Bears having the worst run defense in the league should be better off with DJ Williams back and healthy playing along side (Lance) Briggs. The Bears should be better this year. How much better? That all depends on the defense #1 specifically run D and having a healthy Cutler who needs to improve on his decision making this year. I think he'll be more comfortable in year two of Trestman's offense.
  5. RIP Jay Adams. A sad sad day indeed. 100% Skateboarder.

      Super sad story.

  7. Let's face it. If the Huskers were consistent in fielding teams that at least gave you hope of even just a league championship on a more consistent basis let a lone a National one I'm pretty sure those seats would be filled. It's the product and yes I think to a certain extent that can be linked to the head coach. The whole F the fans thing didn't exactly help boost ticket sales I'm pretty sure. Regardless I am still psyched for the Northwestern away game this year.
  8. Stewart has pulled out of the sprint car race he was scheduled to race in this weekend in Indiana. Still no word on whether he'll race at Michigan this weekend.
  9. Yeah, apparently Tony purposely sped up and swerved towards him. That's certainly what it looks like in the video. Saying he was probably just trying to send a message and it was an accident is the exact opposite of assuming the worst in him. Sprint guys (and all racers in fact) blip the throttle all the time under cation like that, although that definitely isn't a safe place to do it. The video is too tight for anyone to really know what went on except for the people who were there and Tony, all you can say for sure is that Stewart kicked his car out and it walked up the track into the guy who was walking down the track at him. Tragic for everyone involved. And that quote isn't Stewart's it's his director of operations Greg Zipadelli's about the teams operations. ZRod is correct. They just showed the press conference clip on ESPN. He (Greg Zipadelli) was definitely talking about the team. On a related note Regan Smith replaced Stewart in today's race.
  10. I thought he looked pretty good especially behind that atrocious 2nd string offensive line. They were horrible. He handled the pressure well and all of his passes were spot on despite the lack of protection and the drops by his receivers. He had a nice 16 yard run too. That O line was getting blown up.
  11. Crick is on that D line too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HOua2fDYXM
  12. I agree with you both C N Red and Ebyl. (and Huskerjock) I don't think under any circumstances Tony meant to hit Ward but I do think he was trying to make a point by revving his engine as he went by causing because he was on dirt his back tire and car to swing out catching Ward. Stewart has pulled out of today's race at Watkins Glen because of last night's tragedy and as of now no charges have been filed but unlike what was reported last night the investigation is still apparently ongoing.
  13. i wont lie, she decided to drop a deuce right about that point. She's currently starting to giggle and every time she drops one, she gets this smile and a tiny giggle, then daddy goes and changes her. Haha. That's pretty cute. Congratulations! She's definitely a cutie and great picture too.
