  1. Yes what he did looks awful but from a marketing stand point it does make sense. I just hope he was really concerned about the greater good. Now I don't personally agree with all his environmental stances, but seriously what is so bad about him trying to draw attention to "sustainable capitalism" and the current corruption of our system?
  2. Most men do, but he's saying the right things. You can never know what a man's true intentions, but I would trust him over the status quoe at this point. Because his lie makes you feel good while the others don't? What exactly is his lie? Like i said he's saying the right things about some seriously relevant issues.
  3. Normally, I would agree. But where this girl was a student, I think that's where things get a little sticky. Things did get sticky. He was reprimaned by the university and did whatever he needed to do to get back in the good graces of the AD. Nothing to see here. Exactly.
  4. Are you serious? I agree with Creighton, it's something that happened between two consenting adults. Really what's the big deal? It happens all the time and it happens to top officials at the national level. It really shouldn't be anyone else's buisness but the families and the people involved.

  6. Never was one for drunk food, I either feel asleep or threw it up so there wasn't much of a point. But Deleons is definitlely delicious intoxicated or not. I prefer the hash brown burrito but you can't go wrong with Lincoln, Nebraska, or chicken.
  7. So it's basically like ZMA, sideffects and all?
  8. Hey she won an Indy Race. So far she's not doing much worse than her other open wheel counter parts. Toney Stewart seems to be the exception, he can flat out drive.
  9. not on console, I play a couple PC ones... Out of curiosity what do you play?
  10. I agree, although if he used the word fanciful too often I'd have to reserve judgment! i was going to say 'dramatic', did not think that was too much better. Fabulous?
  11. They said it was banned in the NCAA within the first 30 seconds of the video at your link. But if you can't test postive for it then the only way the can catch them is if someone is dumb enough to tell, or take record the incident.
  12. Not true See the statistics There arent any 1 loss teams with anywhere near the turnover margin we had You simply cant be a top 10 team and turnover the ball like we have consistently done the last 3 seasons The statistics in that article prove it, not even close. You CANT be a team in the bottom 10 in turnover margin and be in the top 10, you most likely WILL be in the top 10 if you are in the top 10 in turnover margin It doesn't prove anything! There is no rule about who can and can't be in the top 10. Yes that many turnovers makes it harder, but we weren't that far off this year and I personally don't think it was turnovers that held us back. Here's my stats from our 4 loses: UCLA total yards: 653 turnovers(i/f): 1/1 turnover differential (neb): -1 OSU: totlay yards: 498 turnovers(i/f): 3/1 turnover differential: -3 Wisconsin II: total yards: 640 turnover(i/f): 2/1 turnover differential: -3 Gerogira: total yards: 589 turnovers(i/f): 2/1 turnover differential: -1 In our two blowout loses you could argue that turnovers were a contributing factor. But that doesn't tell the whole story for the Wisconsin game, playing from way behind throwing predictably and forcing balls to make something happen. You field a competent defense and like I said we are talking about maybe losing 1 game despite turnover issues. That's no less true than saying you can't be a top 10 team with our amount of turnovers. Yes turnovers are an issue, but they are not our biggest issue in my opinion. We find a competent return man and we have 5 fewer turnovers, and don't forget about the couple of garbage time turnovers in there too.
  13. That is entirely untrue, especially related to this article. What about this article is incorrect or slanted? He quantified something we all know is a legitimate problem on this team, and said we can't win big until we clean it up. He even said "Nebraska can do it, too." I'm not the largest fan of Dirk, but he's a good writer, and I bet if I slapped Steve Sipple's name on this article and showed it to this board nobody would be complaining about it. That is what touched a nerve with me. Football isn't that simple. Turnovers are a problem yes, but so is giving up 500+ yards in multiple games. Those two combined led us to be a 10-4 team, it wasn't just turnovers. Clean up turnovers and we maybe get another win or two, fix the defense and we maybe talking about only losing one game.
  14. So I was drunkenly reading the ESPN ticker while watching the X games last night and it said something to the effect that it was actually a female cousin's voice not Raniah. And here it is on espn. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8880021/ronaiah-tuiasosopo-cousin-was-voice-talking-manti-teo-report
  15. There are a lot of really dumb smart people out there. It's the difference between book smarts and street smarts.
  16. I think they started that on '12 accoutnability (it was the year after we moved). You can't create a brand new conference or change the names but you can realign them.
  17. Question. Can you create your own playbook for online play? If so, everyone is about to be hosed. You could in 12. But you had to select it when you were picking your team (same screen as uniforms and defensive scheme). It took FOREVER if the team wasn't alphabetically close to what you named the playbook. People would leave before I got to it. So you needed to set it as your default playbook in settings, but then you have the same problem if you want to switch to the teams actual playbook. I don't own 13 so I don't know if it's the same or not.
  18. Their steaks are too dang salty, Ribs are pretty good though. Love me some chicken fried steak with mashed taters and green beans!
  19. It would be a difficult shot. You'd have to do it in the Fall or Winter, after the leaves have fallen, and you'd have to try to find some kind of high ground, because there are just too many trees. There aren't any taller buildings around to take the shot from, and even if you got to the roof of a two-three story building, I think the trees around the stadium/loop would obscure it too much. Yeah I knew it wouldn't be easy, it's just one of those pipe dreams I've always had.
  20. Seriously how many of you knew that there was a a World Championship of American Football, and that Cody Hawkins was the quarter back of the 2011 USA championship team? http://www.cracked.c...ootball-abroad/ Team USA: http://en.wikipedia....n_football_team
  21. ^successful coaches don't throw tantrums, yell, or lose their cool... EVER!
  22. The brick fits really well in person like Twinkletoes said. Personally the only thing I don't like are the N's. I wish they were solid and not tiled. It's really deceptive how large the expansion is you think you have a grasp of its size when you're walking up to it, but it just keeps filling up you vision the closer you get. Great work again Knap! If you ever get the time and feel artsy I think a really great shot would be somewhere down the road on Vine street looking towards the stadium. I would love to do it myself but I just don't have a camera that could pull it off.
  23. That's pretty cool, he's always been a great innovator of safety in the racing field, seats, harnesses, fire suites, helmets you name it. Weight is something that everyone has been trying to deal with for awhile now and I don't think it's easy to keep the helmets light and maintain integrity, padding, and comfort. I would guess, like in the car industry, to make something lighter it takes more exotic materials and those tend to be more expensive. He brought up a point I've wondered about now for several years, why does the outside of the helmet have be harder and distribute the force? I know it spreads the force out and lessens the impact on any one area but why can't they come up with something similar to crash barriers on a high way or safer walls in racing, something that is softer and increase the time of impact absorbing more energy? Probably a tall order but I've felt for awhile now that's probably safer than what we have currently.
