  1. Not real sure you've covered everything though.... another page or two might get it done.
  2. Dzuris will never make it to the edge unless LBs stop to admire the 'stache.
  3. Love that guy...I'd almost feel sorry for him if I wasn't absolutely sure the sympathy would piss him off even worse. If anyone going to Miami sees this guy, buy him a beer or 6.
  4. I sure hope we have a few blitz packages set aside for this game. I DO NOT want to see Kaaya get comfortable in the pocket. What I really want to see though, would dearly love to see, is Janovich bust up the middle and take one in for a TD. That would really bring back some nightmares for Cane fans.
  5. I'm pretty sure Mars, the roman god of War, would approve of the U.S. Marine Corps being his institution of higher learning. As for the topic, are we really so insecure we need to ferret out all the potential subversives? Red Scare is getting a whole new meaning.
  6. Or maybe we need to just worry about winning the rest of our games.
  7. Only real takeaway was staggering zombie looked much the same as staggering junkie.
  8. The spin move at first contact was pretty nifty too.
  9. As a Scotsman I take offense at the reference of this stereotype. Ach mun, ha' ye no shame? *cue bagpipes*
  10. I think any of our RBs or WRs with the ball in their hands given a bit of open field are a homerun threat. Long drives are good. Offense on the field, defense resting or getting whiteboard instruction is good. I'd worry more about our short field punch, needing 3yds and then getting 3 yds, than suggestions from the announcer's booth.
  11. Meh... Did alright...Did what they were supposed to. The comment was nice but the reference was based on what? Gardner-Webb? Unless you're gonna make a helmet sticker claiming "Best O-line as endorsed by USA" it doesn't matter. I'd wait till late November to make a meaningful judgment on this offensive line.
  12. Props for Lane Hovey! Good size, great hands. We may have let Drew Ott slip away but we definitely stole Hovey out of Iowa.
  13. We beat a team we should beat convincingly. All to the good. On points needing work, I'd still like to see something more from ST. Good punt returns should be the gut punch immediately following a defensive stop. Davie...did not look good this game. Overmatched on speed? Bad technique? I dunno, but they kept going after him begging for a PI/holding call that was glaringly obvious. I gotta think Golden will raise a concern if Davie starts bumper-skiing off Miami's receivers like he did last night.
  14. Pelini's Penguins this week beat Robert Morris, whoever that is, in overtime. I would hope a whole team could beat one guy, geez. This Robert Morris fellow must be quite the gamer though to play a whole team by himself! Yeah, he owns all the stats. Just don't call him Bobby Mo because he gets.... well I mean....just don't go there, man.
  15. In this day and age of simulating snap counts and blatant package whacking, I'm not too worried about bruised feelings over running up the score on an opponent we pay to come play. If the backup QB throws a bomb to a reserve WR with 30 seconds left, then they're doing what they're supposed to do. Fight till the bell rings. If you're that worried over their feelings have participation trophies and catered Runzas waiting in the visitors locker room. Letting up to uphold some unspoken and undefined rules on "class" is just silly and can get guys hurt for assuming the other team will go easy just because you're relaxing. If you're worried about reputation then establish that reputation as being you will go pedal to the metal till the gun sounds.
  16. What? They're accusing MR of keeping Newby in to run up his stats? That is NOT nice
  17. If he doesn't get the Davie problem fixed, it'll be a long day in Miami...
  18. Could be a lot of things...pretty bland observation by Sam. How about a thread on what Sam could be?
  19. Apparently Mrs. Riley had never been introduced to the "pull my finger" gag before...
  20. What happened to Marcus Newby? I thought pass rush was the one thing we knew he could do?
  21. They said he went through drills so I'm not expecting it to be too bad. Even then, the thought of Fyfe as a starter is quite scary.. Why's that so bad?I know Fyfe is the clear number two at this point. But all I've ever heard was how he might be the best pure passer we've got. I think he'd fit Riley's system quite well, as I get the impression he's more accurate than a rocket laser arm type guy, and he could be a capable enough runner. Depth at that point would probably have me popping antacids. Lol Ryker Fyfe weighs 47 lbs. With pads. Yes, but by being so tall and skinny he should fit perfectly into the pocket the line provides.
