  1. I am just trying to figure out what is up with the buck in her top? And for the record, your two chicks are hot, but me takey Erin, but Jenn Brown...........man that's tough. I'll have to agree with whoever said both!!!!!
  2. The guy would still probably tower over Courtney Grixby. He needs a Faruuq or Rauf on the end of thatname. Oh, Rauf what Chris Jackson was to the Nuggets was a great thing to watch
  3. Well these "quiet" stats, 32 tackles, 6 sacks, 15.5 TFL, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery were loud enough to get 63 million over five years and the third pick in the draft. Gerald McCoy put those numbers up in the same defensive system of taking up blockers to free up LBs.
  4. A&M recruited Cody as a QB. Spano was Okie Lite's QB. Brion Carnes was South Florida's QB commit and Skip Holtz was chastised by many in the USF fan base and family for not continuing his recruitment. He probably would have had many more knocking on his door if he had not committed so early. In fact I believe Clemson among others were starting to go after Brion fairly hard in the end
  5. This hurts a little more than a lot of us think. A proven, game tested back traded in for two frosh that resemble NOTHING like Tray that have all the unproven hype/hope of us fans. Tray, even with the occasional ball security issues, was a whole different monster that NU could have put in the backfield. When Watson gets butt tight and calls straight from the Barney Cotton OC guide book(power right, power left) which he can at any time, Trsy could have been perfect. He was straight chiseled. I wish we could have gotten to see more. I will never fault this kid after the s#$t this kid went through this summer. Best of luck to him and I hope he shines at Montana St.
  6. No that was AC Leonard, the on again off again Fator commit. Jamal's shot cam on what looked to be about a 15 yard first down catch, when Josh Turner put his shoulder right into Jamal's side, clocking him pretty good.
  7. To clarify for those that are in the dark and completly clueless, you know you are out there, or to blinded by your anti-Watson glasses, zoogies is talking about Bubba Starling. So yes it has been said about the guy.
  8. Did get lit up by BIG TIME, that made him drop a good gain and first down
  9. Good write up about Bubba in the Journal Star Bubba Crazy stat mentioned in article. Four high school b-ball games SEVEN dunks already. The kid is just a freak athlete
  10. He was looking to get hit, and he did. hope he settles in. SHOWTIME Turner got rocked by BIGTIME Turner. Chickillo, Clowney, and the safety that LIT up AC Leonard have all played very well.
  11. +1 again Skers is the calm voice of reason. What a lot of people are missing too in my eyes, the fact that we were even a part of the discussion with the Peats and Lyons of the world. A couple years ago players like this were just a pipedream. In most of these cases we were the blacksheep of the finalists of these guys, you know the one school that just didn't have much in common with the others. Also a lot of people need to realize that next year the DL prospects are amazing. The state of Ohio ALONE could very well be a who's who. And as you skers said DL was not a high priority position of need. There will be another mini rush of commits in January as usual. They may be kids that leave many of us scratching our heads, but how many of us were puffing our chests when Eric Hagg, Alphonzo, or Gomes committed? Exactly, all will be good.
  12. I of course respect your views and opinions as I always will with anyone, even give the complete and utter dumbasses(not you) a chance at first. We will see, the future can be as bright as we want it to be, but alas it is out of armchair QB/Coaches hands. Last points, not to start more bickering, Frost was a HUGE cheerleader on the team, especially in 97. Crouch was always there celebrating with skill players after scores as well. Just little things like this would do Taylor a lot of good in the eyes of many, Ganz, yes was a victem of No Game Shawn vs good teams, but when he threw it was on time, in stride, and the guy could make stuff happen with his legs and ARM when the pocket and play collapsed. Taylor has light years to go with pocket presence. Finally as much as a playmaker as Taylor is, he lacks a lot to be a playmaker at QB full time IMO. Not giving up complete hope of him maturing into something great, hell all Husker fans hope that. Like I said this will be a very interesting offseason. And for the record, I don't need to be right to enjoy a beer with anybody. I never pass up an opportunity to drink with fellow Huskers. Maybe this fall we can throw back a few, and banter each other over what transpires these next eight months.
  13. Taylor played WR on scout team but still was here as a QB and attended meetings and position film studies. As well as had position time in practices.
  14. Amazing what a Watson led offense morphs into when playing teams that have athletes and actually PLAY defense. This is a broken record. As far Taylor is concerned I think it is a MUST that this offseason he 1. Learns to read defenses-had no clue what he was audibling into the majority of the season and couldn't audible pass pro for crap. 2. Learn pass progression and reads-seriously quit locking onto Brandon Kinnie already, the next game is in September Taylor. 3. Get any kind of pocket presence-five seconds is what ya get against a good team if you are lucky, learn it and live it 4, and most IMPORTANTLY do something, anything to show this team you have a pulse, a hint of leadership, and actually care. Do these things and there is a chance you hold off a frosh(true or redshirted) to start. Yes that is a prediction. Your points one through three are due to the combination of Tmart being a freshmen and poor qb coaching for this convoluted offense. Point number four is internet garbage and not worth considering. Where you and others magically think incoming freshmen qbs won't have the same problems is....well.....wishful thinking at best. A healthy Tmart (under a new OC) will start next year and rip the Big10 to shreds. Yes, that is a prediction. Valid arguements. But one, Taylor has been here for TWO years and points one through three should have started to become second nature to any kid wanting to play QB at the college level. He has sat through the meetings, the film studies, and practiced so is there really an excuse for that? Two, yes a part falls onto coaching, but this is the same OC and QB coach that made Joe Ganz damn near a stud his senior year. And at the rate the coaching carosel is moving a new OC might be a pipe dream. Point 4 is pretty accurate. I have had a friend on the team tell me that the SDSU game was no accident. There were many(OLiinemen) that could care less about the well being of Taylor. Something that I have mentioned before. Also another instance that I have ranted on before was Taylor's demeanor the WHOLE CU game. Sat by the heater didn't move, didn't talk to others, could care less what was goin on in the game. Others on this board saw it as well and were just as upset. Also sitting on the bench by yourself after getting tossed like a rag doll, possibly because you failed to recognize the defense, without talking to our OLine, backs or anyone is one hell of a sign of leadership as well wouldn't you agree. This happened a lot this year. And as for the frosh comment. Brion is a redshirt and would be coming into the fall under the same circumstances that Taylor did, and it has been said he is a more pure passer. And Jamal will get winter conditioning, spring ball, and summer workouts in before fall camp, and who knows he may bust his ass and blow the staff away. It has happened before, true freshman can start at the college level contrary to popular belief.

Do these things and there is a chance you hold off a frosh(true or redshirted) to start. Yes that is a prediction. Do these things and there is a chance you hold off a frosh(true or redshirted) to start - Do you think Carnes or Turner will be ready? I was really starting to like what I was seeing from Cody at the end of the year. And that is coming from a guy who last year stated "I don't think Cody will ever start/play QB at NE". Just think how Cody may have progress if everytime he took the field he wasn't given the ball and told "Hey Cody get in there - its the 4th Qtr, we are down by 10, don't screw it up - ready - break". I am a Cody fan, was from the start of camp. HE HAS the leadership and personality of a starting QB(Taylor should shadow him all offseason). And yes, I have always been critical of the coaches not taking the training wheels off when Cody was in at QB or put in the game in the most god awful situations(twice they have done this to him). However, I am also a realist. The type of offense that Bo, I guess I'll say wants, but not sure if they even know these days of what they want, the QB must be a threat with his feet and arm. This is where I see Brion and Jamal passing him(we'll include Bubba IF/when he passes up the millions). Both I believe are far better throwers than Taylor. And Jamal has the "Playstation Moves", you know where he can go every direction and makes people miss, something Taylor lacks. Jamal gets here in a week and gets a jump start. Brion has had a year, and Taylor has his flaws. This will be a better QB race than last year. And who isn't to say Cody comes out of the shadows and destroys them all, I would love that, just don't see it happening.

  17. Soooo....RichRod is still a Wolverine. For now

  18. OR not. Rich Rod is still employed for now. Chip Brown most definitely must be breaking all this stuff, becase we all know he has never missed on a story
  19. I can see him staying at Stanford. Reports are they are going to up his contract to five years, and the cha-ching to 26 million. If he goes pro Denver is probably the best bet. He will have more personel control there then at San Fran. 60-40 he goes to Denver and evening out slowly
  20. Chip Brown must be breaking this story. Cause as we all know, the OrangeBloods.com Chip Brown is the inside knowledge that breaks all the stories about all things not Texas Football. Ok he didn't break it but the guy is still an assclown.
  21. Hearing Stanford is willing to up Harbaugh's contract by five years and 26 mil. That is a lot of incetive to stay. However, I can easily see Jim going to the pros. His brother John coaches the Ravens and is very successful and the Harbaugh lineage has been successful in the League. Best bet would be Jim to Denver to work with former Stanford alum John Elway to get the DOnkeys back to where they were. John would probably be more willing to give up personel decisions to Harbaugh than the Niners. 60-40 Harbaugh goes to the Donkeys. Peat will be a Cardinal when it is said and done like skerchicago said.
  22. Diappointing none the less, but not a suprise. I figured Florida would be in it for sure. Michigan's situation at coach can't help their cause, but Wayne had a thought out plan to help him choose a college and academics played a huge role in that plan. So me thinks a school with coaching limbo may not suffer. Finally it is refreshing to have a recruit commit to a school and not a coach.
  23. I'd love for him to honor his commitment too, but it is quite easy to see how it happens. CJ and Tevin are both Texans, knew of each other while NU commits, strucj up a friendship, CJ had Pig Sooey as his other finalist, Tevin chirping in his ear all week about playing with him as a Hog, and Petrino is a snake. High schoolers are very influential and it is a very logical scenario actually. Having David Santos is a plus, but anything goes in the recruiting game.
  24. If I am a betting an I'd say the smart money with Wayne would be for him to end up a Gator. They need DBs, since losing Nick Waisome to the Noles, as well Mushcamp is just as good as a defensive mind as Bo, and I think he uses the proximity to home card as well. And the only recent hat raffle that NU was in was with Nyan Boatang in Callahans ubber recruiting class. He chose the Gators, but never made it there, ending up at Cal.
  25. For the love of all things Husker, I pray Charles sees Tevin in drills this week and that is it. Please go hang out with Bubba, Aaron, and maybe Todd Peat. That is all I ask this week. Hang with the "good guys" on the West
