That's cherry picking some stats. Ohio St has gone 73-8 vs MSU's 56-23. Ohio St. was ineligible for post season in 2012 when they went undefeated and probably would have won at least a conference championship. We lost in the CCG to Wisconsin who finished 3rd in their division that year. Not to mention Ohio St. has won a national championship in that time frame.
Yeah but this team is going to have the best chemistry. This is really a tight knit group. They do BBQs and stuff together. I heard they might even have team ice cream parties!
He seemed abnormally deep in the back field at the start of the play. After watching it again, he wasn't as far as I thought, but it still seems like more than the standard pistol.
This seems like a very (understandably) biased view of the situation. In my biased view, I don't think you understand how big time football works. I do appreciate your perspective though and I hope that you at least occasionally drop by HB.
This has always bothered me. I have been too hot way more than I have been too cold at a Nebraska game. Actually the only game I remember being really cold at was 2015 Iowa. The only game I actually remember significant snow was the 2007 Texas game and it snowed hard but it didn't really stick. The regular season ends in November well before the heavy snow and cold really hits Nebraska. Even if the weather was bad, don't these Florida guys want to get a taste of it before playing in Green Bay, Chicago, or anywhere in the northeast in December/January?
Sorry. There are 2 posters refusing to be interviewed. Production has stalled. Word on the street is that they can't locate Jessica or Jessica Jr. for comments.
Billy D was in the Rams front office when they were in St. Louis. That should be all we need to know about his competence. To see him go from one team I kinda cared about to a team I very much cared about was a heart breaker. Get him out of there now!
I think Frost's probability of success is higher now than it was 3 years ago. He got to experience being a head coach in a much lower stress situation. He knows what to expect from the job and which will help as he handles the pressure of a big program. The past 3 years have sucked, but I'm glad Frost is in a better position to help us.
Watched a lot of games??? How? The facilities are also drastically different from when he was here. The N on the helmet is probably the only thing he will recognize from when he was here.
Well the time has come. It's time to go home from work. If these really are your last few days and you don't make it to Monday, goodbye dear thread. I will miss you. You got me through the longest week of my message board life. You are the 1990s Nebraska Football of all threads. I hope you live forever, but I know that decision is in the hands of the men upstairs. May you live in the memory of HB forever.
It's pretty common knowledge that he's going to UF after his CCG. I'm pretty sure Gruden is coming here. If not I'm sure we could end up with Jimbo, Sumlin, Gundy, Brohm, Cutcliffe, Doeren, or Leach. Just as long as it's not that Schiano guy.
I'm just saying ESPN isn't going to do a documentary on anyone or anyplace that doesn't create some drama or tension. They are going to find a good and bad side to every story. At this rate, ESPN won't even be around in 10-15 years.
I think it's in our best interest, as Nebraska fans, that this got cancelled. They would have questioned TO's morals and shed some negative light on the program. Just go back and watch some of those highlight cassettes from the 90s instead.
At this point they just need to make him or another assistant the interim coach for a year. They need to let this blow over and try again next year with a different selection of coaches.
He definitely is incredibly classy and has tons of dignity, but part of me wonders if he should be more embarrassed by the results. Am I being too much like "90s fan" by saying he should be more bothered by all the losing?
