  1. Saban blasts fans that leave early... so those blocks of seats are taken and given to someone else. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/9880250/alabama-crimson-tide-punish-students-leaving-early

You can do that when you win 3 of the last 4 national titles.

  2. What happened to blue jeans? Every brand has become paper-thin garbage.

Agreed. And where the hell did the stupid lines come from on your thighs??

look for raw denim and shop by weight. you will pay for it though, unfortunately.

I agree, he looked good flying around. Mistakes were made, but that's to be expected. Agree with the Rose comments as well... Just wait until they fully "understand" the defense... they will play slow like the rest of the defenders that have been in the system a couple of years. :-(
  4. He's fairly skilled and much more fluid compared to ubel. He's the highest rated nebrasketball recruit since rivals came to existence. He is actually (barely) on the rivals top 150 list. Huge get, actually.
  5. 1G-Webster 1G-Biggs 2G-Gallegos 2G-Fuller 3F-Pettaway 3F-Rivers 3/4F-Shields 4F-Smith 5C/F-Pitchford I imagine those are your top 8-9 Hawkins and Parker will probably see minutes as well. We are much deeper this year with the exception of the post players. That will be our Achilles heel in the B1G.
  6. Shields was going for a dunk... Pitchford wasn't allowing dunks. BTW - Pitchford is a freak athlete for his size. Forget about weak Jorge Brian Diaz, Pitchford will be dunking on some fools this year.
  7. http://www.huskers.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?&id=981288&catid=0&DB_OEM_ID=100 For those interested, tonight's scrimmage will be streamed. Starting in a few minutes.
  8. Turf Toes and Hamstrings are bad news injuries. Here's to a quick recovery.
  9. I for one thinks Bo needs to stay.

  10. The bold appears to be his mode. One game plan to stop what he has seen on film. They adjust, we are screwed. Bingo. Blatantly obvious, and I have been thinking that for the last couple years. (out coached)
  11. I agree with this. Bo runs a clean program and recruits high character kids. Maybe NU could be great under Bo if he would hire a great OC and a great DC, and give them full responsibility. Granted we don't know him on a personal level, but based on the last 6 years of listening and watching Bo Pelini, I doubt he will swallow his pride and let a proven DC come in and take over. Either way, which "proven" DC will want to come and coach under Bo?
  12. Wrong. I don't want an inexperienced coordinator. I want to find a proven head coach that's willing to let his coordinators coordinate, but manages to hold them accountable. A head coach that brings a passionate, disciplined, team (both sides of the ball). No more hiring "buddies" from a trusted circle so they can learn on the fly. Who that guy is? Not sure, but it's not my job to find that guy.... That's the AD and his consultants problem.
  13. Exactly! Fire the DC. No, in all seriousness, why is it that our team falls apart after halftime? Both sides of the ball just stink after the break. I don't get it. Our passing game looked awesome and the D was shut down. Now, we can't get a first down and they get one on every play. What gives? Out coached. good coaches make adjustments as the game progresses based on what they are seeing. Nebraska coaches do the same crap over and over expecting different results. This is what you get with above average talent and below average coaching. 9 win seasons because you beat the teams with lesser talent and equal or worse coaching and lose to teams with equal or better talent and equal or better coaching.
  14. If I'm his dad, I am not standing on the sideline coaching the team.
  15. I will take competitive international experience in the summer over standard weight training and practice locally any day. Shields is awesome. Not flashy, just impacts the game by playing smart and doing things the right way.
  16. Recruiting is a process. Sure, some guys can be picked up late, but I don't think that's any coaches bread and butter. Coach has only been at Nebraska a year, so I say lets give him 3 years to see what he can do when he can start working on recruiting guys through 3 year cycle. I have faith that between his personality, our facilities, and his coaching style... we will start picking up some of these guys that we *BARELY* missed on this year. I'm excited... really excited. I believe in Miles 100%. He will get it done.
  17. Usually true... at least for a home game. Lately road games against highly rated opponents = Nebraska getting teeth kicked in.
  18. The support is there. If Miles can strike while the iron is hot, Nebraska could establish themselves in the premier basketball conference... Football's offseason is going to get a lot easier if hoops starts producing.
  19. So it's Pinnacle Bank Arena, but the floor is sponsered by 1st National Bank? That just seems odd. Makes Pinnacle seem superior to 1NB...
  20. Big loss. I have faith in miles to find a good replacement. We still need to fill Coleman's shows too, right?
