I think one could infer that having contacted the recruit there is at least a small chance even .00000001% chance right now especially with surrounding circumstances. Having not contacted the other two options, there is a 0% chance. I guess if you disagree, at the very least we can agree to disagree! He said it was "about as likely." I'd say .00000001% is about as likely as 0%

The problem is while Moss thought it was the funny, the Lincoln PD and the University of Nebraska didn't. Like it or not, athletes are going to be held to a higher standard and football at Nebraska are under an even bigger microscope. I have no data to back this up, but I think Moss's chance to play went out the window when Pelini got sacked. He is not being held to a higher standard. If you went and waved your penis at a store employee, the police would be called on you as well.

Gathering data (whether it's with tech or humans) and analyzing it are two entirely different things. In a completely unrelated to football example, we have craptons and craptons of DNA info on humans and other species but we don't have enough people to analyze it as quickly as it's being generated. We absolutely should have statisticians working for the football team. I recall Pelini saying something this year about how he goes with his gut feeling. Unfortunately I don't recall what he was referring to but I remember being annoyed by it and it made me think he probably wouldn't believe in employing someone to do that.

I wish people would quit saying "I wondering if the SEC would have been in past championship games if we'd had a playoff then." You're just implying the obvious. Even if you're the best team in the country, you might only have, say, a 75% chance of beating the #4 team. Then you have to turn around and beat the #2 or #3 team. I don't care what team it is or where it's from and it doesnt matter if they're the best team, if they have to go through a semifinal then the chances of winning the championship are lower. The same that is being said about past championship games with SEC teams can be said for every NC Nebraska has been involved in.

I saw that in an ESPN article and searched it. They make it seem like Urban Meyer himself said he wanted to turn OSU into the SEC north but I googled it and couldn't find anything like it. It's just some crap they made up.
