  1. It is clear now that the NCAA must get involved. To ensure fairness, the NCAA must make sure all the other teams are smoking marijuana too. That way everyone has a fair chance at the playoffs.
  2. I agree, Something like 3-4 conf titles. Maybe 5
  3. If he had also been gifted with super perfect DNA and super-exposed to gamma base radiation in an experiment that sometimes turns you green...
  4. I think you could make a solid case that if we had not fired Frank at that time that we would still be in the big 12 probably with one to two more conference titles, AND I am not saying that Frank would have won them necessarily. But if it were handled more prudently, a Husker coach could have.
  5. 1. Bubba was just one player, for a limited time, heart was never in it. No impact 2 Carl who? 3. Winner millions of dollars and decades worth of knowledge lost. This set in motion 15 years of sideways and backward movement of the program. 4. Maybe 2nd most important option of those listed. If If's and buts were candy and nuts. 5. Doesn't matter. Our staff at that time had developed NO plan B, so our one dimensionalness was going to be exposed anyway. We treated Tmart like horses are getting treated at Santa Anita
  6. Dude, I totally believe it. Almost took tOSu for a ride last year, it is ON!
  7. This dude is a proven winner and it is going to work out well.
  8. Taking on Iowa as a rival just feels wrong. It would be like joining a toddler in a serious tug of war over a cheeto under the "kids table" at Thanksgiving.
  9. How's the song go? "I couldnt win the Big 14.... Because I got high.... We couldnt, win the NC... Because I got high.... I think Lincoln's marijuana team has a football problem! Wow they seem real focused on Ohio St, right?
  10. You and me must gave grown up in quite different areas. In grew up in the Nebraska Sandhills. There was some keg parties, but no weed. Weed was not OK. Like Merle said, " WE DON'T SMOKE MARIJUANA". It's not that hard. There's a lot of us former Sandhill kids who are shocked at how accepted it is even by the police. Just sayin. I am not justifying alcohol either. It is really bad for some folks. Weed though changes personalities, even when you are not high. I have seen it. I don't think it has a place at all in our top notch athletic dorms. I don't think you can be your best if you are getting high regularly.
  11. Yeah, I think the 2 strikes makes it worse and you factor that into a bigger suspension. As far as it bein unfair to him, Hey you put yourself in that spot. You knew what team rules were.
  12. You send a message with your actions as a leader. Is it OK to sit up in those posh dorms and smoke weed if you are a Nebraska Cornhusker football player? Is that what teams do when they are trying to climb to the top? I'd give him a 5 game suspension and see what the new kids can do. If they crank out like 6.1 ypc and catch well, I think I'd make that a permanent suspension in the form of a warm bench seat. Wait for him to screw up again or walk. Yank his schollie.
  13. Welcome to your worst nightmare... said AD Steve Pederson.
  14. I am all for selling beer in the stadium, but it would have to be cold beer without a lot of head.
  15. hard work creates its own luck and they some hard workin sunzib ches
  16. Actually lets get past ourselves first.
  17. That would be a penalty now, but what isn't. Oh well, at least we would get another Capitol One commercial out of it.
  18. What happened the time when Lawrence Phillips came after a chick and Scott Frost. What were the details of what happened.
  19. Proly the hula hoop... when you try to master wiping with it, the crap never ends.
  20. I'm not sure what you mean. By longer odds I am saying I don't think they are likely to win the NC
  21. I think Ohio St. should have longer odds than that.
  22. Fine....but that has nothing to do with if a student athlete should be required to have a certain GPA. The clearly stated original point is that we need to revisit the "student athlete" concept in this time where competitive DIV1 football is clearly a just farm system which depends upon blue chip athletes, where the NCAA and Universities are making absurd amounts of money. You're trying to argue that the sky isn't blue because the grass is green Well then you are arguing that humpty can't be dumpty.
