  1. When I was a college football player (short inglorious career) we lifted four days a week during the off season. Our workouts were good not great because the older coaches, some of them did not understand or care about the difference between lifting for power, and bodybuilding. I put on 10 lbs. And I was a weakling. How long have these coaches been here? I would say that there has been enough time for a DEDICATED player to be close to where they want to be. There shouldn't be any linemen looking like Ogre from revenge of the nerds. No guts, No undefined chests, No straight undeveloped biceps or tri's. But I am seeing it.
  2. No sh$p. I'm on board with that! It will never happen but that crew would have us BACK, like when Fast Eddy Felson got his specs! We'd get Frost a cushy waterprood condo back in Eugene then spank that zone running quack attack.
  3. I mean we are relevant to college football as far as legacy, and history, but not relevant in terms of which teams can play football well.
  4. To inject a little ENGLISH into the sports world what the heck is a turnover lost? Isn't that called just a turnover? And why keep track of turnovers gained? Takeaways is sufficient after all if you didn't take it why count it? Lets just muddle everything by creating a category called turnovers gained where we count things we earned along with gifts we may have gotten from sloppy opponents. And what does it mean to be 14th. Usually first is best but if its a bad thing maybe you want to be 14th.
  5. Up to now, and feel free to project if you wish
  6. Interesting question for your Sunday: If Frost could magically transport his entire undefeated UCF team to the B1G this year, what would their record be?
  7. This is all assuming that new 32 gallon bong they just delivered to the football dorm doesn't screw things up.
  8. And then Eichhorst made him fire his buddy and brought in a total dumpster fire
  9. I saw defense slacking at the end of at least a couple plays last game too
  10. I mean freezing weather, thats what hats are for.
  11. regression is what your argument has been doing. Also what the team did after he left.
  12. No not really, his last year was statistically similar to his best year, and you do realize his serious foot injury sustained at NU became chronic, and ended his football career, right? Did you know that in 2010 this QB you say had a fumble problem, helped the team go 100% in the red zone during conference play? 100%
  13. Since you were watching all TMart's plays you watched him score 87 touchdowns, gain over 10,000 total yards, start in 2 Conference title games. How many conference title games we been in since? You remember when he was the Big 12 freshman offensive player of the year?
  14. If we gave you the football to run it as our featured back even though you were a slender QB and made you play hurt for almost a whole year you'd have a fumble problem too.
  15. Do you have some sort of documented evidence (article, quote from player, pundit, or coach) to back up your personal theory that Taylor Martinez began to get smashed right after somebody told him not to fumble? Can you clarify the date for me that this occurred so we can compare stats before and after? Anything you can cite? Or are you just opining? Lets start there.
  16. In fairness, if YOU were from North Platte, you would also be preoccupied with mediocrity.
  17. Pelini totally took down Dabo From there the paths diverge
  18. He played basically the whole year in 2013 with plantar plate tear of the second metatarsal phalangeal joint. In 2012 he passed Eric Crouch for total yards. Its hard enough to even start a game at that level, let alone have the career he had . And bottom line of all the QBs we had at the time he was the only one with the ability to extend the play, extend the drive, and keep the O on the field. Right now AMart is showing flashes.
  19. T Mart was basically forced to play hurt a lot and never given a chance to heal up. The coaches did not seriously give him a plan B so all teams like texas had to do was key on him until he was injured. There is a lot there that isn't TMarts fault. I will never understand playing a kid hurt. He always went down awkwardly and do you know why? From the time the kid was 4 yr. old he never played on a field with anyone who could catch him. I basically feel that NU staff wasted him to a degree.
  20. In the corny land of corn, lets go watch a 13-10 game and absorb its comfort like a small shot of morphine in the recovery room, and.... when the hell does the plane leave?
