Yes i live on the iowa campus and i cannot stand it. They see the callahan days, and they see iowas run in the mid 2000s. That is their only justification. Our worst era vs their best era. They count shared titles are sole titles. I cant believe how many people on the iowa message boards have 2004 big ten champions on their signatures. Not only did they lose to michigan heads up (the team they share it with), but michigan played in the rose bowl! I know nobody cares about iowa, and rightfully so, but i deal with it on a daily basis and im sick of it. Cant we just beat them already?

And they are ready? No one and I mean no one they have played has prepared them for the team speed they are about to get from us on Saturday. We will be fine, Shawn Watson is gone, our offence can move the ball well (I have watched them play, their D is ssssslllllooooowwwww). Also, you are not going to be seeing the experimentation we have been on D. Bo knows defence and I am not worried. Yeah...cause you know OSU is slower than crap. And Michigan plays with cinder blocks on its feet. And of course Penn State is usually full of crappy players and MSU last year wasn't fast. We're not any faster than 1/2 the B10 teams. Not the speed we have... the one team last year that is even comparable to us this year speed wise was TCU and what happened in that game? yeah guys the entire big ten is slow. yeah there are some fast individuals....but the teams as a whole, not so much. Ohio state is the exception. Which is why they have won 6 straight titles.

Im not disagreeing with you at all here, in fact i couldnt agree more. With that said, iowa state received 21 votes this week by the ap.

This is what is ruining college basketball. Rick Reilly had a fantastic article last basketball season about how high profile regular season basketball games like pitt and uconn get awful ratings because the conference/ncaa tournaments virtually make those games an exhibition. College football is unlike any other sport. Every play, every second, every mistake matters. It really is a game of inches and thats why I love it. Why change it? So Boise St. has a chance at a national title? nah. not worth it.

I think coming into the season voters had a ton of confidence in bo's defense and the big play ability of taylor martinez. The way we've been playing, no were not a top ten team. If we avoid injuries (which we havent so far, but fingers crossed) and start to click on all cylinders we will earn that top ten rank.

i think i might be one of the few who has seen wisconsin play in person. Granted, it was last year but i dont see much difference. They came into iowa city against by far the best dline in the big 10 last year and controlled the line of scrimmage, the ball, and the game. Russell wilson is a game changer, but nebraska is the notorious quarterback killer and i have faith that he is not going to beat us. It helps that clay is gone because last year they looked like the giants (bradshaw, jacobs) and now their backs are a little bit smaller, but if we cant stop ball and white early and keep our defense off the field we simply arent going to win this game.

There are some very underrated receiving corps in the big 10 but the Justin Blackmons, ryan broyles, dez bryants, and michael crabtrees just dont exist where were going. I think with the talent we have we will be fine

Im not sure if you guys are aware of this rule but after october 31st the big ten doesnt have night games. A lot of it has to do with weather. I went to iowa v penn st in 08 and it was snowing and like 10 below. The only thing that got me through that game was my flask of jack hidden in my coat.
