  1. I like you. Sometimes you just have to step outside the box! My other favorite "football" team (Arsenal) already wears red and white PUMA gear, so I'd be all for the Huskers making the move. Make it happen, Eichorst!
  2. I'm not going to the game tomorrow, so can someone please take as many pictures as possible of the Oregon cheerleaders and dance team and post them on here? Thanks!

  3. Just saw Holmes Periscoping (is that a word?) from Michigan State. He looked bored.
  4. “Senator Sasse went to today’s meeting ready to listen. Senator Sasse introduced himself to Mr. Trump, and the two had a gracious exchange,” said James Wegmann, the senator’s spokesman. “Mr. Sasse continues to believe that our country is in a bad place and, with these two candidates, this election remains a dumpster fire. Nothing has changed.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2016/07/07/trump-meets-with-hill-republicans-as-controversy-over-star-of-david-tweet-continues/ I don't like Trump or Sasse, but this is entertaining stuff!
  5. I'll go a step further and say that in order to truly be "pro-life" you must also agree to personally raise (or at least pay to raise) an unwanted child to adulthood. Otherwise, you're just "pro-birth." Depends on how you mean that. If you mean that if I were to make the choice to have sex and the result was a pregnancy, I'd absolutely raise that child because I'm not a murderer. If you mean that I have to agree to raise the child of someone else who made that choice, that's ridiculous. I admit, what I stated was a bit ridiculous, but I was simply trying to make a point. Simply put, don't claim to be "pro-life" unless you also support all possible measures to prevent unwanted pregnancies in the first place (sex education, birth control, counselling, etc. - all of which may have to be subsidized). And when unwanted pregnancies do occur, you also support all possible measures to ensure a successful delivery AND a healthy upbringing (prenatal care, well checks, counselling, etc. - all of which may have to be subsidized).

  7. Like a lot of Americans, I'm completely shocked Trump lasted as long as he did. This article plays out several scenarios on how he finally quits... http://gawker.com/how-is-donald-trump-going-to-quit-1782312998
  8. A) Jordan Spieth B) Jason Day C) Graeme McDowell Projected cut: +7
  9. This Ireland vs. Sweden match is highly entertaining.

  10. I posted this in another thread a while back, but I still like the idea. I say expand the B1G to 20 teams (yes 20), and split into four five-team divisions as follows: WEST - Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma CENTRAL - Indiana, Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, Wisconsin NORTHEAST – Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers SOUTHEAST – Duke, Maryland, North Carolina, Vanderbilt/Georgia Tech, Virginia *New members are in bold. Each year on a rotating basis, the divisions pair up to form two “super divisions.” For example, in Year 1 the West and Central divisions would pair up, as would the Northeast and Southeast divisions. Then in Year 2, it would be the West and Southeast in one super division and the Central and Northeast in the other. The ten teams in each super division play the other teams in their respective super division round-robin style, for a total of nine conference games. The winners of each super division play in the Big Ten Championship game. Voila!
  11. When was the last time Nebraska had a positive turnover margin? It seems like we can't get on the good side of this statistic. According to TeamRankings.com, Nebraska broke even in 2011 (0.0/game) and was on the plus side in 2010 (+0.1/game).
  12. Welcome to the land of sanity. Good to have another brother among us. I recently changed my voter registration to non-partisan as well. So for yesterday's election here in Lincoln, I was only presented with two questions - neither of which included the words "Donald" or "Hillary." Efficiency at its finest!
  13. We're tops in the B1G in football recruiting spending, and it's definitely starting to show. GBR!
  14. Rather that live corn plants, how about replacing the existing chain link fence with something like this?
  15. Just watched the reveal of the new Tesla Model 3. I want.

  16. I'm a big fan as well! Great cast. Plus you get to see Malin Akerman's (*)(*). What more could you want?
  17. Here's the most recent list I could find (from 9/3/2015) - http://www.ncsl.org/research/civil-and-criminal-justice/2015-state-rfra-legislation.aspx And you're right, very creative language in Mississippi's version.
  18. Last time I checked, Mississippi had 17 of the 100 poorest counties in the entire USA based on median household income. Maybe their government should start working on improving people's lives rather than making them harder... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/03/31/mississippis-senate-just-approved-a-sweeping-religious-liberty-bill-that-critics-say-is-the-worst-yet-for-lgbt-rights/
