Where is that legal in baseball?? That's spiking and not legal in baseball. You don't see guys feel flying up in the air hitting guys in the thighs. You can slide in hard but if your spikes are up there is gonna be a brawl. But is it against the rules? I haven't watched too much baseball in the last few years so I don't know for sure, but last I knew there was nothing illegal about it. Of course it's crossing lines and your teams best player is going to get a fastball in the back as payback, but I don't think there's anything in the rulebook against it. Against the rules? No. But if you slide in to a bag like Brady slid there your either expecting to get hit the next time you're up to hit or your teammate will get hit next pitch. Just one of those unwritten rules. This coming from a college pitcher too. Bradys slide, to me, was definitely intentional. I don't see how you could consider that unintentional when he's staring at the guys leg as he slides.

Apparently Ron Brown was in Hiawatha the other day recruiting this kid. Would be a ver nice way to start the 2014 class

I attended school there. Never heard of this kid but then again i think i only attended 1 football game in the 2 1/2 yrs i was out there. Just something about growing up going to nebraska games that made WIU games zero fun

Out of that list I hope these two happen. Not sure if they will but I can dream. Being a UNC basketball fan I would love to be able to watch the Tar Heels in Lincoln. I also think if they got UNC and KU to join that game could become a nice rivalry game. Not quite the game that Duke vs UNC is but KU fans can't stand Roy Williams and it would be a nice matchup every year but this year.

I've been wanting this for a long time too. Get in the backfield with speed and cause chaos. I know, I know, I'm looking at the past, but when we used speed rushers like Alberts, wistrom, tomich, vanden bosch, etc I frickin LOVED it. Easy to love when it works!!! We can't continue to give the opposing offenses so much time to develop plays. I think the best example of the long, athletic DE's is what LSU had in Mingo and Montgomery. Very athletic kids and they seemed to always be in the backfield when I watched their games.

Agree with where you would rank him if he doesn't win a CC. For all of the good things Martinez has done, he has yet to win what Nebraska fans would consider anything of relevance (bowl,CC,BCS game). Even if he wins a CC next year i would still have a hard time placing him in the top 5.

ESPN sucks for recruiting. Rivals has it right. That's what I was thinking. Just didn't understand how there was such a wide gap.

Was just looking at different recruiting services and I don't understand how there is a such a difference in his position ranking. Obviously each site has there own opinion but can someone help me out with how Rivals can rank him 8th and ESPN in the 30's? I think it would be very tough to find 30 running backs in the nation better than this guy.

Easton Stick and RJ Urzendowski sp? from creighton prep both got invited. Both kids workout where I work and are athletic kids just not sure how they will fare against kids from all over the nation. Forgot to mention Stick plays QB and RJ is his main reciever

Fact: 09 we were 2 pts away from winning the conference and a bcs bowl game. Fact: 10 we were 4 pts away from winning the conference and a bcs bowl game. those two years we didn't suffer any 30+ pt blowouts. Fact: 11 didn't even make the championship game and suffered multiple 30+ blowouts. Fact: 12 we make the championship game and suffer multiple 30+ blowouts. we were 40+ away from winning the conference. sorry chief any fan would take the 09-10 years than the 11-12 years. We don't give our defense enough rest because of too many 3 and outs in like 5 mins. We are passing too much. we give up on the run too easily. Fascinating how you use those facts to reach a conclusion that makes absolutely no sense. Sometimes I wish the Internet had never been invented. So you would take these last two years versus the 09-10 teams? we were better back then. Our team was more balanced and we didn't continuously shoot ourselves in the foot like we do now. We were actually disciplined on both sides of the ball. Sure the offense is better but now our defense sucks. Saying we were more disciplined back then is pushing. I remember people on here pointing out how many penalties we had in games. And not shooting ourselves in the foot...Did you forget the ISU game? i realize that was a fluke hopefully to never be repeated again but it did happen during that stretch you speak of. And I may be alone in this thinking but is it possible our penalties have been reduced due to the fact that the Big Ten officials suck?

Agree with everything you said. We habitually under-perform every year, but it's slightly more complicated. We have speed talent up the whazoo, but we are always lacking on the O and D lines. Quick, name a player besides Suh that played line (either side of the ball) in the last 3 years and is in the NFL? Uh, Carl Nicks? Now, name NU speed players in the last 3 years now in the NFL. I can think of at least 10 in the time it took me to write this sentence. So, yes, we have tons of NFL players, but most of that talent is wasted because they don't have good lines to play behind. Jared Crick is with the Texans. Not sure if they are still in the NFL but I'm pretty sure Barry Turner, Pierre Allen and Terrance Moore were all with a team at one time. Also, Yoshi Hardrick is either currently with the Bucs or I know he spent some time there this season.

I feel a better way to look at it is avg star ranking. Takes class size out and is a better way of determining quality of class.

I was hoping that wasn't the response I was going to get. I am trying to get video files from an external hard drive on to my computer to be able to edit and make highlights of them. When I try to open the file it says i don't have an application to play the movie file but it won't let me open QuickTime. Not sure what to do
