AF_Husker
Per the CFN site, this is there view of USC, per their week 2 rankings: 1. USC (1-0) Off This Week next game: Nebraska Be careful. Be very, very careful. Nebraska is absolutely good enough to waltz into L.A. and hang 450 yards and 38 points on the board if the Trojan D isn’t fully prepared. However, USC is absolutely good enough to torch the mediocre Husker secondary (don’t let the zero passing yards allowed against Nicholls State fool you) and roll to the type of blowout win that’ll make the rest of the nation finally wake up and realize that this is the most talented team in college football. So what do you think? Are they really the #1 team in the nation? Oh, and this is what they say about us: 15. Nebraska (2-0) W, Nicholls State 56-7 next game: at USC O.K. Nebraska, you want to be a player? You want to be big-time again? Here’s your chance. Beat USC at USC and you just might be the number one team in the country. At the very least you’ll be in the CFN top three. Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
That site has been saying all the summer that we can go in and upset them. I can't wait for the game. Quote Link to comment
Alex 4.0
Top three in the country.... ooh baby that sounds good to these ears. If our secondary can make some plays, we can hang with them and pull the upset. So are the two starters still out of the USC secondary, that will help us a little bit if they are. huskerhaze
At the very least you’ll be in the CFN top three. Top 3 seems like a pretty big jump....not that I wouldn't love it but I doubt the Coaches or AP poll would have us that high. Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
If we win I would say we would go to number 9. The lowest would be about 11. Quote Link to comment

Kevin Smith CB and Josh Pinkard FS a true freshman is replacing Pinkard but SC feels very confident Pinkard is done for the season with an ACL not sure about Smith but he is out for our game next saturday Quote Link to comment
Hawkeyehusker
We can win this game. USC gave up over 400 yards six times last season. Now they lose their top two defensive backs. I can't wait for this game. I'm scheduled to work. I'm not going to be there. Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
Callahan is going to exploit these weaknesses. I think Taylor will have a big day. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
There is a lot riding on this game for both teams. Moreso for us than them, but neither wants to play flat. It should be a good game. Quote Link to comment
tattooedhusker
is this weird...i am skeptical for this game, but i'm equally excited as well!! Quote Link to comment

BIGREDIOWAN
I don't see us in the Top 3 maybe the top 10 or so!!! However; I would love to see it happen!!!!! Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
If we win, how do you think the team will respond. I think they are mature enought to not let the higher ranking get to them. Should be interesting. Quote Link to comment
GSG
With the leaders we have (ZT, Carriker, Moore, Mann, etc) I think the team will keep their egos in check until after we beat Texas and then make our way to Arizong for NC game. Quote Link to comment
