huskered17
Hmmm...a big time Las Vegas donor, huh? Well, I know it's not me. So what exactly is a big time Las Vegas donor? Someone who loses a lot of $ there? Whales? anyone? Well if that's all it takes to be a big donor, I guess I have helped. I always like to leave my money there to help the cause GBR!!! HuskerTrucker
Pelini would not have had to fly into Lincoln to sign papers...they could have kept it hush hush by just sending a lawyer and notary down to his place in LA. Any rumors on here are just that....and we won't know anything until it happens....period. Quote Link to comment
T_O_Bull
Trucker is right. I can't see TO doing anything until after CU and I really can't see him messin' with a coach who is very involved with a possible BCS Championship team. ...T_O_B Quote Link to comment

agibson95
A Big Time Las Vegas Donor? So is he a bad gambler with a lot of money? Really I wouldnt trust the word of a problem gambler. He could call 1-800-Bets-Off, that might help him with his problem. Really Vegas doesnt need his money, they are doing pretty well I hear. Quote Link to comment
AuroranHusker
Is Jackie Gaughan (sp) still alive? I know he was from Nebraska and owned casinos. Scott as per wikipedia yes he is, born in 1920 Jackie Gaughan family provides capstone gift for UNL's new multicultural center. "It is my hope the new Jackie D. Gaughan Multicultural Center will provide students a place where they can come together and learn to be respectful of the many unique individuals they will encounter in their lives," Jackie Gaughan said from his home in Las Vegas. "I hope they grow to understand a diverse society is truly a richer place to live." Construction of the $8.7 million center, to adjoin the east side of the Nebraska Union, will begin upon completion of final designs. As tentatively planned, the center will open in early 2010 with three floors and 30,000 square feet of space.... kjstrouble
According to a contact who knows a big time (?) Las Vegas donor, Callahan took a buyout offer on last friday. Saturday was his last time coaching at NU, and that is why after the game he walked off the field. The second part of the rumor is that Shawn Watson will coach for the CU game, and that at the end of the season Bo Pelini will be named the HC. Pelini is rumored to have already accepted the job, rather than wait and see if he would be offered the HC position at LSU if the current HC went to Michigan. I have no proof that this is true, but it will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of days. Here's hoping! so.. would that mean coaching at NU as in at the school? or at memorial stadium.. cuz if its at the school.. we'll be finding out at the press conference tomorrow eh? As in the team. As in not coaching the CU game. Quote Link to comment
