trouble
I expect a decent year honestly. I don't think we will move to a completely different system. I can see pretty much the same offense, maybe move a bit more towards a spread type offense but thats it. Our defense should be worlds better, with a Dline thats all returning starters and a better D-Coordinator. I forsee an 8-4 type season honestly. Quote Link to comment
Wally
I'm excited about next year. Get those players running around the track and liftin' iron. We don't know what offense wil be installed for next season but we know there is going to be FIRE on the team. Win or Lose, I'm balls to the wall with the new era in Husker football. We began to slip with Solich then hit bottom with Callahan. As they say, third times a charm. 2008 - Bring It On! Quote Link to comment
BlackShirt D
i think we will go 8-4 if pellini is our coach...if gill is we go 6-6.... Quote Link to comment

pctopeka
I don't think that there will be that much adjustment to go through. A good coach will temper their scheme to match the talent on hand. The team will be .500 or better, and competitive in all games. With some early success, maybe much better. These guys need to learn how to win again. Quote Link to comment

Husker2012
HuskerKing130... i like how you think!! Honestly though I think we have a lot to look forward to next season. Most of our best offensive players will be back next year and hopefully cally recruited some studs for our defense. Plus it's always exciting when a new coach comes to town. That spring game is going to be one hell of a party if it's anything like the one the year callahan got here. C_Bear Quote Link to comment
Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
Right now, I'm not expecting a whole lot. But that could change once the season gets closer and my brain won't function because I'm excited. But I wouldn't be surprised if we win 8 games. Might pull off an upset or two. Never know. junior4949
For me, it's kind of hard to have any kind of feel for next year until I know who the HC is. If we bring in someone like Norv Turner, then I'll be very pessimistic. Talent for talent, there's only 2 maybe 3 teams on the schedule with similar or better talent than we'll have unless there are a lot of transfers. Quote Link to comment
Captain K
I think its way to early to speculate. Lots can happen - what if Chase Daniel bolts to the NFL? KU's defensive coodinator leaves for a HC? Lets revisit this after the spring game. What, sit in the stands watching pro games when he could be playing his senior year in college? nepolo7
I know next year will be tough but I do not see a radical change coming. These players can be adapted to different systems with a new coach. I do not think the coach needs to try and pass with a running team or vice versa. I think the new coach can do either and be successful. Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
I don't know about wins or losses, but if we get passion from the players for the entire season and have decent defense I'll be happy and consider it an improvement. Edit - And I do think we'll have both. Quote Link to comment
HUSKER 37
I fully expect a similar year as Florida after they got rid of "Zook the Recruiter" and hired Urban (Myth) Meyer. Where's the BCS/MNC game next season? Quote Link to comment
nejayhawk
KU's defensive coodinator leaves for a HC? The guy is way too old to get offered a head coaching job. Quote Link to comment
