coyeote
I'm glad he's no longer here but I wish him luck where ever he ends up. Maybe he's a lousy coach, maybe it just wasn't a fit, maybe maybe maybe. It really doesn't matter. The point is it didn't work here but as long as he's gone I'm letting it go. Good luck coach. agibson95
He will coach again in D1. I am guessing a Big 10 school will hire him. He will land on his feet, unlike his defensive players who will probably be eating dirt most of their college footbal career. Quote Link to comment
billdozer15
If anyone had any common sense they would see what happened at Wisconsin and NU while he was DC. Both defenseds were horrendous, they only common link..............Cosgrove. I will feel really bad for whatever team he lands on no matter the Division. However, I cant imagine a D-1 school taking a chance on him. To be honest, i wouldnt even let him coach a high school team. He is that bad of a coach. Good ridance and may God help the souls of whatever team he ends up on. Quote Link to comment
HuskerBruin
I love that everyone is saying that Coz will coach again either in the NFL or somewhere in D-II or D-III, as if those are the next three steps below coaching D-I. No sarcasm here; I really love it. Quote Link to comment
texker
It's not possible for him to coach again at a high level because he's never coached at a high level to begin with. Quote Link to comment
Wally
I'd like to see him land a job at Colorado. Quote Link to comment
clone
Will Cosgrove ever coach again at a high level? don't even care. Quote Link to comment
ironmike
if he can interview well, he'll get another job somewhere... "So Mr. Cosgrove, why was your last Defense at Nebraska the worst in their history?" "Well, Mr. AD, the system was perfect. The game plans were perfect. I was doing an excellent job. The players just weren't minding their gap responsibilities." Some douche will buy that. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt316
I hope so. I hear OU may have a job opening soon. Quote Link to comment
Cy the Cyclone
Attention Husker Fans: If anyone could put us in contact with your Defensive Coordinator we would appreciate it. We have a similar opening on our newly forming coaching staff and his apparent talent for creating and maintaining pourous defensive squads would fit in perfectly with the high-scoring, no defense philosophy of Arena Football II. Please contact us at our offices if you can help Stu Pidass Director of AF(2) Operations Quote Link to comment
Spartness
I seemed like after the Oklahoma and Auburn games last year, things were looking up for the defense, even though we lost those games. I don't think we missed one tackle on the line of scrimmage against OU. But this year everything went to hell. I figure he will be a NFL position coach. Quote Link to comment
husker_fan
I cant imagine him getting a job in D1A again. Do you think he will retire all together or is there a school out there that would be dumb enough to hire him? I dont even think a AA school would take him after what everyone saw this season. Good riddance! Probably some other less important position. I don't think there would be a team out there to let him have the reigns at DC again after Nebraska. Quote Link to comment
husker_hurdler
KC=Pee Coach! Quote Link to comment
huskered17
Maybe at that high school in Alaska, that ESPN featured yesterday on one of its stories, that put in a football field that ESPN called "at the top of the world". Can't get any higher than that. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment
kc_husker
I think that he will coach at a "High level".......... the High School level... oh, not really.....he'll land somewhere probably as everyone is saying, NFL or D-II Hey HANC I though for sure you would want him on your staff?
