Blackshirtsguru
Player: Deleon Eskridge Hometown: San Mateo (CA) Serra Position: All-Purpose Back Height: 5'11'' Weight: 181 40 time: 4.5 Visit Date: 1-16-08 Scholarships offered: Nebraska, Minnesota, San Diego St, San Jose St, Utah, Washington Favorites: Nebraska, Minnesota, San Diego St, San Jose St Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Bid Red Report: Assessing the talent: Eskridge has great vision, follows his blocks, and blasts through the hole. He also has great hands as a pass catching RB. Odds of Becoming a Cornhusker: I would have to say 25%. He is going on a 14 day road trip traveling to each of his favorite schools. He is going to be one busy kid! Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
He has the size and speed to be a decent "scat" back. I don't know if he is a plan "B" can of guy right now, but I would be happy with him as a plan "A" player. Quote Link to comment
husker rob
he is visiting NU from Wednesday to Friday and then going straight to Minnesota where he committed in December right before the dead period. he is really excited about his offer to NU and knows alot about the tradition. I think it is more like 50% chance of getting him to commit, but that is just my opinion Quote Link to comment
huskerfan500
Seems like he had a good time on his visit, NU and Minn are his top 2, he also took his visit to Minn after NU, I would expect him to choose soon, I say NU's chances around 51%. On his video he looks like a beast, great speed, good power, great jukes and hurdles, and good hands, not too dog on Collins but I think this kid has more speed and moves and is going to be a better back. Sounds like a Derek Brown kind of running back which would fit well with this offense. Quote Link to comment
DeathCultArmaggedon
I watched some of his highlight film and it was impressive. His straight-line speed was great. Since most of the plays were him flat out-running the defense, I would have liked to see more cutting and change of direction on the tape. Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
If if chooses MN over NU I will be shocked. The facilities at the U of M of poor....even though they are getting a new open air stadium in a couple of years. The coaching staff talks a BIG, BIG game up here and then they go out and win only 1 game. I hope he realizes the difference between NU and U of M and chooses NU. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirtsguru
Committed to the UM Gophers......Good luck to ya Deleon, you're a class act! Quote Link to comment

Touchdown Tommie
This truly is shocking....good luck though being on a mediocre team in the Little 11...if that. Quote Link to comment
BOBELIEVER
he would likely see more early playing time in Minnesota so you can't blame him, but hey, there's still time to de-commit and join the Huskers Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
why anyone would rather play football at Minnesota instead of Nebraska is beyond me...I guess he cares more about getting playing time instead of steeping onto the big stage? Quote Link to comment
Overland Park Husker
why anyone would rather play football at Minnesota instead of Nebraska is beyond me...I guess he cares more about getting playing time instead of steeping onto the big stage? Yeah, that one RB who is playing in the Super Bowl is a complete idiot for playing at Minnesota. Quote Link to comment
