SwiftFan87
Kenny Wilson update Senior I-back Kenny Wilson has been reduced to a volunteer/student coaching role because of a lingering leg injury, Husker running backs coach Tim Beck said. Wilson, a key part of Nebraska's four-man I-back rotation in 2006, sat out last season after breaking his leg in an off-field accident in the spring. His playing future is uncertain at this time, but it doesn't look good right now. "It's been frustrating for him," Beck said. "He's a great young man. I feel for him. He wants to help out in any way he can." http://www.journalstar.com/blog/huskers.php?cat=53 Quote Link to comment
DJR313
No wonder we haven't heard anything from him. Hopefully Kenny can get on track to becoming a coach if that's what is in his heart. Quote Link to comment
SwiftFan87
I know he's already redshirted but could he get a medical ? Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
There are rumors that he will never be in playing condition again. Quote Link to comment
husker1ac
There are rumors that he will never be in playing condition again. Yah there's no way he'll play again if he's been out this long. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
Thats too bad that he can't get back out there on the field, but at least he is still trying to help the team. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirtsguru
The kid has heart and I really feel for him! Quote Link to comment
Back In Black
wow that must have been a SERIOUS leg injury Quote Link to comment
MCAT800
That's to bad, hope the best for him in the future. But the bright side is you can coach longer than you can play. Quote Link to comment
tattooedhusker
he probably will never play again which is sad. But think of this, even if he did manage to come back, he'll never be the same again (i.e Matt Herian), even if he was remotely close to where he was he still wouldn't see the field when competing against Lucky, Helu, Castille, even Mendoza and Okafor. Coaching will be his best route, if its in his heart. No matter the outcome, I wish him the best in everything he does regardless if it's playing or coaching. Quote Link to comment

KansasHusker
I think highly of his talent. What a freakin tough and elusive runner. I guarantee he would be a big part of our offense if he was healthy right now. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
WOW that really sucks! I wish him the best and it's too bad we didn't get to see him on the field again. Quote Link to comment
huskernumerouno
Best of luck Kenny in all that you do. Quote Link to comment
DeathCultArmaggedon
I think few realize that when he was healthy, Kenny Wilson was the fastest back we had (including Lucky, Glenn, Jackson, etc.). He was an elusive and punishing runner with real NFL potential. It's very sad to see his career end, but who knows, maybe he goes on to become the next great head coach in time. Quote Link to comment
