Our chances versus KU

Recommended Posts

1 in 3....I say we have a 50% chance :-)!!!!

Should be a good game though and I hope the good guys will win....the Huskers of course!

Yeah, since we match up pretty much evenly, I think our chances of winning are about 60% since it's in Lincoln and it's much more cool to be a Husker than a Jawhawk fukkr anyway.

Your chances vs KU are zero...seriously though this should be a great game. I thought both of our teams would have a better W/L record but football is a fickle mistress. I am going to this game and cant wait for saturday. Heres to a good game huskerfan

Careful there Beaker. Your first sentence conveys real arrogance, and no small amount of ignorance. The two could combine for your downfall, and boy would that make me happy...

This NU team is perfectly capable of giving the Jayhoax all they want, and then some. Remember what they did against Texas Tech, at Lubbock no less.

Okay, so you had a one-in-a-million scorefest in Low-Rents last year, but this year you're playing in Lincoln. If Husker Nation shows up (and you know they will), and the team shows up (I'm betting they will), your fan base just might have to put down their caviar and champagne and actually start paying attention. The game's called football. It's played with this oblong leather thingy...

To the Husker faithful: Why didn't any of you call this clown out? You going to let him write something like that on your board without answering in some way?

I think his first sentence was a joke, that is why he followed it with... Seriously though, imply what preceded was not serious...

Now your post is is just ill informed. KU has never put up a lot of points before? Our game in Lawrence was one in a million? I am happy to provide lots of data to show that is just blather, but we all know KU can score and so I won't waste the time.

More importantly, why would the Huskerboard members not call out a regular poster who most of them know to be polite and who was joking? hmmm? See under his name where he has posted on this board 400+ times, he is not on here trying to be a jerk.

I think we beat the Huskers this weekend, but I am not convinced of it, they have shown some real life this year and Lincoln is a tough place to play. I also think we are the second best team in the North this year, but that is not such a great distinction this year.

I also think your post is what needs calling out. It is condecending, light on facts and heavy on name calling. I Miss Tufftiger. :(

I'm sorry husker fans, but I hate to say it, playing in Lincoln isn't what it once was. You can feel it with the fans. It's kind of like playing in College Station.

NU still plays to sloppily on offense that has this many veterans on the team. It's perplexing and a reason for concern (They play like they have a huge weight on their backs to perform is some of it). Joe tries to do to much some times and I think he's watching the other QBs in the league and trying to keep up.

NU will have to play balls to the wall as good as a performance they had on offense vs. TT and as good as a performance on D vs. ISU. No small task. KU is coached very well. It's really simple actually, NU loses the turnover battle and they lose this game. NU has been turnover prone all season........IDK??

This game has the chance to be a great game. I Hope that the team has the intestinal fortitude to bounce back and have a great week of practice. We all read that last weeks practice was not the best. There is something to the old saying that you play on Saturday like you practice on Monay - Friday.

Our guys need to take their ass whipping and learn the lessons needed and try and forget the rest. Play controlled and smart football and we can play with a lot of teams and beat some good ones. Play like we have been with the penalties and turn overs and we could be in for a long day.

This game is not a gimmy for either team but I would say that the outcome will all hinge on how Nebraska starts out of the gate. Score early and get a defensive stop and we are in this thing and possibly win. Get behind by a couple of scores early and it could snow Ball quickly

Bullsht! You're saying that the jawks are on the same level as TT? Post again when you wake up. Tech is 9-0 overall and on top of the big 12, kansass...........not so much.

Never did I say KU is on the same level as TT......but I did say NU's offense will have to put on a performance like they did against TT. That is a highly focused, well executed offensive game plan. No turnovers. It's quite simple.

Ugh, I'm a Husker Fan..........just how I see it, could be wrong.............believe me, I'd much rather be talking smack to other teams posters then arguing with my fellow husker fans.

I would think our offense will put up 4-5 touchdowns (like we have most of our games) but I'm worried our defense will allow 4-5 touchdowns and maybe more. For one game, I wish our defense could create or just get 3 or 4 turnovers. It seems almost impossible to go through as many games as we've played this year and last year and get zero or close to that in turnovers. You'd think the law of averages owes a few.

Nothing makes me laugh more than when MU fans start running their mouth about KU when it's not even KU VS MU week. That just shows that MU is constantly trying to better KU. The funny thing is, MU will accomplish nothing this year and lose Chase Daniel is gone after this year. So much for making it to a BCS game!!! LOL. Greatest team MU has ever fielded!?! LOL. Tell that to Texas, OSU, and a Baylor team you beat by 3. MU fans...what a bunch of jokers! You'll lose to KU at Arrowhead this year and shortly after thaat Washington will hire Stinky Pinky Pinkel and all this nonsense will be over and your fan base can go back to your double wides and gather around your beer canned christmas trees and get ready for Girls Softball.

OK, now to the real subject at hand KU VS NU- My Hawks haven't won in Lincoln since 1968. With that said, this HAS to be KU's bes chance of a win. However, I'm not ready to declare that KU will probably win. Fans on this board need to forget about last weeks games. OU blasted NU in Norman and KU destroyed KSU. BIG DEAL!! KU and NU are very close from a talent and personel standpoint. Two experienced offenses, and mediocre defenses. This will be a close game that can go either way. I see this coming down to turnovers. Nebraska will come out with a chip on their shoulder ready to put last week behind them. KU will come out firing on all cylinders...something they haven't really done this year. It will be a high scoring game in the 30's or 40's. I'm not ready to make my prediction yet. I'll do that closer to kick off.

One more thing: My wife and I welcomed our new baby daughter Avery into our lives last week. She is only a week old and has me wrapped around her finger already! It's been hard staying focused on anything since she got here. I think her birth was the good luck charm KU needed against KSU this weekend. I'm convinced that was the difference!

Rock Chalk!
