UGAHusker
Like everyone else on this board, I thought it was awesome when Suh kicked over Hawkins and I was especially excited when he threw the ball against the wall, (always one to love excessive celebrations) but was anyone else worried about the possible consequences of Suh's actions? 1. Suh fumbles the ball, a-la LeKevin Smith, CU recovers, goes on to kick a game winning 58 yard field goal. 2. Had Suh just taken a knee we could have just run the clock out. Like I said, I think the way things turned out was/is amazing, but am I the only with who had doubts at the time? Quote Link to comment

lilred
I wasn't concerned. Sure he could've fumbled it but the only guy in his way was Hawkins Quote Link to comment
hskerholic
when he caught the ball i was yelling fall down fall down, but when all he had to beat was the qb i was yelling go go go! Quote Link to comment
AllTheGoodNamesAreTaken
im pretty sure that every husker fan watching that game was screaming "fall down!". Quote Link to comment
SkullandBones
No, seriously how is Hawking going to get the ball from him. I hear what your saying but..nah, take it to the house big man. Chucking the ball and Steinkuhler (i think) taking his helmet off on the other hand, that should probably be avoided. Quote Link to comment
Huskers Forever
To me Suh reminds me of Steve Warren. Quote Link to comment
Shaunk2007
I think it was awesome Suh scored, this win needed to be rubbed in the Buffs faces. Plus nobody was gonna bring Suh down, Nobody! Quote Link to comment
General Blackshirt
Conflicting views: I was yelling "Go Down! C'mon, Go Down! Don't risk it, damnit!" My dad was yelling "SUHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! SUUUUUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHH! SSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" It all worked out Quote Link to comment
huskerdude171
im pretty sure that every husker fan watching that game was screaming "fall down!". Not me, I was just jumping in the stands screaming "SUUUUUHHH!!!!!" Quote Link to comment
KansasHusker
They were on their own side of the field...it would have taken a lot more than just Suh to fumble...never crossed my mind...all this did was bring that damn TT game back into memory!!!!!! Quote Link to comment

I agree that a player should always takes the knee & end the game if it results in a victory for his team - no need for unnecessary risks. Suh probably shouldve just gone down but it was pretty sweet watching him run over Cody Hawkins. However, prior to the game Colorado's kicker had missed 10 out of his last 12 field goals & his long was 37, so theres no chance he hits a 58 yarder. Quote Link to comment

Landlord
No I don't think that's right. You see, LeKevin Smith played in 2005, and this is 2008 and Suh is playing. Even if he did change his first and surnames, there are too many powers that be that would notice him maneuvering his way around the rules and staying on the team this entire time..
