killer cacti
for 2,500, you can own a 2007 championship ring. http://huskersgameday.com/2009/01/07/anyon...nal-title-ring/ I don't get it. That's something that millions of people would kill for. Why would you want to get rid of it? That is a priceless item, I would cherish it. Besides, who wants a championship ring that they didn't earn & has someone else's name on it? Quote Link to comment
HuskerExpat
I don't know, I think it would be pretty cool to have a championship ring. I'm obviously never going to "earn" one by being on the team, and this is the next best thing. $2500 might be more than I want to pay, but it would be cool to have one...... Quote Link to comment
DeathCultArmaggedon
Guys, I'm sure the person who put that ring on Ebay does not want to sell it, and cherishes it just like all of us would. It is the worst economy in many decades - I'm sure putting food on the table and paying bills comes before football mementos. Quote Link to comment
teamster
I've read stories in past years of superbowl rings being pawned and sold also. Some people's lives take a turn into hard times. Sometimes sh#t just happens(or doesn't). I can relate. Quote Link to comment
Chef K
Guys, I'm sure the person who put that ring on Ebay does not want to sell it, and cherishes it just like all of us would. It is the worst economy in many decades - I'm sure putting food on the table and paying bills comes before football mementos. And that's a damn shame, perhaps whoever buys it would have the decency to return it to it's owner. Quote Link to comment
bennychico11
the "best" part is I think the seller is NOT a former player. If you look at his feedback he won an auction for a 1997 NC right for $1500: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=270309099471 or was it this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=230304354348 so I'm guessing he just buys rings and turns them around for a profit immediately after he gets them. BIGREDIOWAN
I've seen numerous NU championship rings on there over the past few years. 1994, 1995, 1997, Big 8 Championship rings, Bowl rings, etc. My wife knows that one day I will buy one of these rings since, to me anyways, it's the ultimate NU item to own if you get the chance. If I run into some extra money it'll be at the top of my list. I think the 1997 ring would be the one to want since it was T.O.'s last season. The 1995 ring is cool as hell though................ BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Besides being a championship ring I love the 49-2 printed on the side. Quote Link to comment
redout22
That would be sweet to get. I can't believe someone would sell that Quote Link to comment
