Blackshirtsguru
I can't argue with the writer's list. Good coaches there! Quote Link to comment
ChapinHusker
I wonder how the list would look after the bowls. Would Pelini be #1 after Johnson got whipped against LSU. Quote Link to comment

Guy Chamberlin
I wonder how the list would look after the bowls. Would Pelini be #1 after Johnson got whipped against LSU. Or would you bump Nutt to the top spot? Quote Link to comment
ChapinHusker
Nutt did an amazing job at the end of the year, he certainly could be #1 Quote Link to comment
clone
looks ok I wonder how the list would look after the bowls. Would Pelini be #1 after Johnson got whipped against LSU. nope. pelini didn't beat a ranked team all season. johnson did. and NU woulda got whipped against LSU also. Quote Link to comment
GI56
List doesn't have Steve Fairchild as Colorado State. Also, Rick Neuheisel is a joke. Quote Link to comment
holvy83
my vote is for Nutt, just cuz his name is funny Quote Link to comment
AllTheGoodNamesAreTaken
"In a conference filled with great offenses, someone has to play great defense." decent article. Quote Link to comment
melscott62
I would have johnson 1st... but it is close simply because pelini is a true first year coach. just like I expect the team to improve as we go on bo is going to really grow the next few years. even though he's been a coach for years HCing is just different Quote Link to comment
PenthouseTiger
As a clemson fan, I dont like to see what he wrote about Dabo's outlook (he was down at #5) in that he wont win any more than Tommy Bowden did. I'm terrified that it could be true as I was not one pushing for him to the the permanent job in the first place, but I think he has the tools to be much more successful. The question is whether or not he will use those tools. Quote Link to comment
Vince from ShamWOW
2. Bo Pelini(Nebraska 8-4 5-3 in Big XII)- Pelini should be in year 5 at Nebraska. The hiring of Bill Callahan is one of the worst this decade. An OT loss to 11-1 Texas Tech kept the Huskers out of the Big XII championship game and another close loss to Virginia Tech hurt Nebraska. Yet, the Huskers still earned a share of the Big XII North Title(Mizzou wins tie breaker). How does the future look? The future at Nebraska looks great. In a conference filled with great offenses, someone has to play great defense. Pelini will have Nebraska back on top of the Big XII North and competing for BCS games sooner than later. What this guy wrote is 100% correct. Quote Link to comment
hosker
the Frank Solich part at the bottom of the page is a low blow Quote Link to comment
HuskerTrucker
This was no big surprise...I think Bo was picked as one of the potential impact coaches before the season started. When you look at the numbers, he did a great job in his first year. Still have more work to do, and I believe he will not be satisfied until it is done...then only until the next Spring Game.
