The Maudfather
17?? Seriously? Quote Link to comment
HuskerRob
17 was my high school number! i love it! Quote Link to comment
Pedro Guerrero
I may be wrong but I would imagine he wanted #7 but Spano has it so he went with the next number with 7 in it. I looked at the roster and he didn’t have much choice. He could have gone with #12 but I’m sure that is going the way of Brown and Novak so nobody can ever wear it again. Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
Yeah pry his only option to get 7 into his number. Thanks for letting me know guys! Also I'm sure you noticed, but Dejon Gomes is #29. Who knows though these could change because they usually don't let guys switch numbers until the fall. Quote Link to comment
BigRedMan
I was looking at the roster on huskers.com and Justin Rogers wasnt on it. Is he no longer on the team? Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
I was looking at the roster on huskers.com and Justin Rogers wasnt on it. Is he no longer on the team? Yep, he gone: Rogers and Levorson not listed on roster John Levorson and Justin Rogers are not on Nebraska's updated football roster listed on huskers.com. Neither case should come as much surprise. There has been uncertainty about the future of Rogers and Levorson for a while now. Several weeks ago, Bo Pelini said that Levorson remained on scholarship at that point but wasn't with the team for reasons not specified. And there have been indications since before the bowl game that Rogers and NU might part ways. Both Rogers and Levorson were members of the 2008 recruiting class. Rogers had some academic issues to clear up but arrived on campus late in fall camp. Both redshirted last season. Levorson was a standout at Crete High School and was several times praised for his progress during fall camp by coaches. All indications are Rogers is gone. The door might be open for Levorson still but right now his lack of presence on the roster obviously says something. Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
17 Yep, on the roster now. Oh and, Zach Lee is #3. The other new comer Antonio Bell is #2. And Dejon Gomes is #29 Quote Link to comment

redout22
17 is a good number. I am happy with it Quote Link to comment
admo
Lots of players take a number and change it to what they prefer their second year. As for 17, it's cool.. Former college Qb's that I can remember that were 17: Jason Cambell Auburn Phillip Rivers NCState Quincy Carter Georgia Charlie Ward FSU Quote Link to comment
T_O_Bull
Let's hope it's not #7! It seems that number is cursed for QB's recently. And as for #15, give me a break! No QB should be allowed to even TRY to live up to the man, the myth, the legend that is..........TOMMIE FRAZIER!!! Wasn't 7 "the Snow Man's" number? I seem to remember Frost winning a NC.
